This game
features two games in one: the
complete SNES game, A Link to the Past, plus an
all-new first-ever multiplayer Zelda game! In "A Link to the Past", Link receives a telepathic message from Zelda, imploring him to help. His quest is to find the Master Sword, then travel to the Dark World to defeat Ganon and restore peace to the land of Hyrule. In
the multiplayer game, "The Four
Swords", between two to four players take on
the roles of young adventurers who answer a
challenge from the Triforce. They must brave the
dangers of multiple dungeons in a quest to find
the Master Sword. Their strength will be tested
by fierce monsters, their wisdom tested by
complex puzzles, and their courage tested by
having to cooperate with each other to overcome
obstacles.
This is the newest addition to the Zelda series. With the help of a Link-Cable, you can play this game. It is a multiplayer quest, and you can play it together with one, two or three friend, meaning this is a 2-4 player game. It will definitely be most fun to play it with four though! This is, like mentioned before, the very first multiplayer Zelda game, and the outcome has turned out to be great! The players will have to cooperate and communicate in order to get through the dungeons, as the puzzles are designed for two or more brains. Even though you have to do a lot of team-work with your friend, there is also a competition going on. The one who collects the most Rupees before the dungeon is completed, will be rewarded with a medal. The more you play this game, the more there will be to play! What does that mean? Well, each time you play the game, it generates a brand new dungeon for you to conquer, meaning playing this game will always give you a new challenge! As you gain more keys and experience, the dungeons becomes harder and more complicated. Storyline: Legend has it that in the distant past, a young hero challenged a maniacal wind mage named Vaati, who was storming around the countryside and abducting maidens. With the power of an enchanted blade, the Four Sword, the hero split into four heroes, each one with the wits and strength to help take on Vaati -- and they defeated the mighty mage. Many years later, Princess Zelda senses a disturbance in the wind. She knows the legend and brings Link to the shrine where the Four Sword is kept. Just when she explains to Link that Vaati was defeated -- and trapped inside the mystical blade -- the wind mage swoops down and steals her into the sky! Left alone, Link knows what he must do -- pull free the Four Sword and call in new recruits -- himself times four! And so begins a new legend of the Four Sword .
The
connection between the games Other features between the games is that when you win ten medals (you receive a medal when collecting the most rupees in a dungeon in Four Swords), a riddle quest, hosted by the Lumberjack, becomes available in A Link to the Past. Depending on how well you do it in this game, you can win various decor for Link's house. |
