Link
was almost crushed by the rock until he was pushed out
of its path by Greece, the village elder. Link fell to
the floor hard, his head banged to a nearby rock which
gave him a bruise.
“Are you okay, Link,” Greece asked.
“Link rubbed his head, yeah, don’t worry about me, try
to save the other villagers”.
At that Greece left dodging flying stones on the way.
Link turned around and rested his back on the floor.
Until he noticed another flying stone aiming towards
him. He rolled over just as the rock crashed creating a
crater in the ground.
“I got to get my boat out of here,” Link said as he
ascended from the ground and ran to the docks.
The King of Red Lions (king of Hyrule) was over there
staring at the sky where a storm of rocks fell, he
noticed Link was coming so he said to him. “Quick, get
me out of here”.
Link ran as fast as he could, many flaming rocks were
cooling off in the water creating big waves. He finally
reached to the King of Red Lions, he quickly had to
untie the rope.
“Quick, Link, an asteroid is coming”.
The asteroid was in sight, Link had a feeling the King
of Red Lions might not make it. “C’mon, c’mon, he said
to himself.
“Link, it’s over, it’s been nice knowing you”.
“No! Don’t say that, I’ll untie just wait”.
“There is no time to wait”. The asteroid now was only a
hundred feet way.
“NO! HOLD ON JUST WAIT!”
“It’s over, Link, the King of Red lions said. Get back
before you get in the way of the asteroid”.
Link knew it was over. The rope that was tied to the
King of Red Lions was tied numorous times to keep from
being washed away to sea. Link turned around and walked
away. He heard a crash and was then blown away from the
force and he hit a wall being knocked out immediately.
“Linnnk, Linnnk, wake up Link”.
Link opened his eyes to find Greece the village elder.
“What happened,” he asked.
“We found you unconscious after the terrorization of the
rocks of fire, he explained. Your house and boat was
found destroyed. The impact must have done that. We are
still unaware what the rocks were.
They seem to be different then the rocks on here because
they were on flame. I__ “Asteroids”, Link said cutting
him off.
“What,”Greece asked?
“They are called asteroids”.
“Where did you here of this’?
“The King of Red Lions, my boat, told me before he was
destroyed”.
“Before he was destroyed. He told me that he had no
chance of survival, because the asteroid was already
coming closer. I realized that he knew what the asteroid
was,” Link explained.
“Link please explain this to the rest of the people on
this island. I’ll invite people to the order and you’ll
explain it to them. It’s not much since there aren’t
many people on Larol”.
“I need you to tell the other villagers because you seem
to know a lot about this so I will need you to tell me
later, ok, Link”?
“Can we go tomorrow because I don’t feel very well right
now, the injury I to at my ribs seems severe so I’d like
to stay home for a while,” Link answered placing his
hand on his ribs to relieve the pain.
“I’m sorry, Link, you must have forgotten. Your house
was destroyed. Along with many others. The only left
were the ones deep underground. That reminds me, Link,
there is an inn about a few miles underground of Larol,
its an underground city called Macreek. Why don’t you
take a cart underground there. I’m sure there’s bound to
be a few left even after the disaster”.
Link nodded. “Okay, I’ll go”
“Oh, Link wait. I think you should take your master
sword and mirror shield along with your windwaker
conductor baton. There may be some monsters there”.
“The other villagers of Larol traveling together so you
have nothing to worry about since there traveling
together. Monsters don’t attack if you have a lot of
company with you”
“You know what, forget about telling me tomorrow about
what happened. You probably don’t even remember. I don’t
blame you. It’s called an asteroid and that’s all we
need to know. Do you know where it came from though”?
“No, Link replied, The King of Red Lions died before he
had time to tell me”.
“Well, its okay, you’ll be fine. Our island can’t be
built again with all the buildings. Another set of
asteroids might be able to come here again. It will risk
the life of many. So I’ll see you at Macreek later. I
just have to take care of some business with my
brother,” Greece said as he patted Link on his shoulder
and showed him the way to the door.
Link nodded his head and left as he closed the door
behind him. On his path the destroyed house, he didn’t
see not even a few more people in Larol. They all had
gone to Macreek.
Link did not believe that the whole village looked
deserted. He just couldn’t picture a place like Larol
being deserted. With all the business and busy people,
this was hard to imagine.
His imagination doesn’t have to do any work now since it
had come true. Some houses were lucky and didn’t get
destroyed. But Link didn’t see any people inhabiting
there houses.
Link, after a long walk of thinking, his house was
finally in sights. Link looked at his house. The rooftop
was crushed. It seems a asteroid had crashed in from the
roof and hit the inside of the house.
He ran to the docks. All he could see were floating
splinters where the King of Red Lions was destroyed.
Link had a sudden flashback of then: “NO! HOLD ON, JUST
WAIT”! Link’s mind shifted to the accident.
“It’s okay, Link. There's no way to escape this now. The
ropes are tied to tight. It’s okay. It’s not your
fault”.
Link’s mind came back to his present time. He stared at
the splinters in the water as he thought back again:
“Link, listen to me, you have to leave now. You might
get hurt too. Leave now! Get back before you get in the
place of the asteroid”!
Link remembered how he left the King of Red Lions. But
he wondered. If he hadn’t left would he be able to
rescue him. This haunted Link’s mind as if there was a
ghost not put to rest in there.
He turned to the door and opened it slowly. When he
tugged it to get it open, it had broke and fell. He
peaked inside to see a mama squirrel, and four little
baby ones run out of the house quickly.
It seems while the house was destroyed, the squirrels
felt that they could sleep in it since it wasn’t
inhabited. Link walked slowly across his house and made
his way to his room.
He opened the closet door. His weapons and his windwaker
were still in place. Including Link’s old green
costumes. It brought back memories of sailing with the
King of Red Lions. He grasped his sword tightly and he
place it down along with his shield on his bed full of
dust from the accident.
He then picked up his green clothes and tried to put it
on. “Darn it, Link cursed. My clothes don’t fit me
anymore”. It appears that his clothes hadn’t got
smaller, but Link had just got bigger. “Well, I'm not
wearing that, it doesn’t even fit me anymore”.
Link turned back to his closet to see some other
different clothes. He located his old crab shirt. He
remembered when he first got that. Aryll back in Outset
gave it to him on his twelfth birthday.
He knew that wasn’t going to fit him. He looked more in
the closet, looking for something to wear. “Aha,” he
said to himself as he picked out a gray cotton shirt
with a hood at the back. He also found blue pants with
it. “This is something I could wear”.
Link put it on quickly. Then he put on his pants.
Afterwards he put on his master sword and hooked on his
mirror shield with it. He remembered how it felt to
travel in dungeons while battling monsters.
“Well, it feels good to be back,” Link said as he walked
out of his destroyed house and walked off to the cart
station.
