The Death of Link: by Vampiro

Only a few years after his battle with the Skull Kid, who wore Majora’s Mask, Link was seen settling down and taking a breaking from his adventures. Link was ready to settle down and live his life, instead of doing battle with fierce demons and monsters of all kinds. Little did he know, his next big adventure was waiting around the corner.

Link was a nice lazy boy for almost all his life, when suddenly a fairy flew in and he met his greatest adventure to date! Shortly after outdoing Gannon, Link thought he was finished- he was wrong. As quick as a hiccup, Link was expelled tot the world of Terminia where he must defeat the Skull Kid in a mere 3 days to save the land and the people. After countless hours of time travel, Link finally manages to confront the evil Skull Kid and does him in with his mighty Fierce Deity’s Mask.

Link is now back in Hyrule and taking a much needed break. Relaxing in comfy lawn chairs, soaking up sun, reading, and just all out having a good time. But, before Link left Terminia, he decided to keep the Majora’s Mask as a souvenir of his quest, which he kept stored away in a safe under his bed. As the extravagant sunset loomed in the distance, hitting Link’s face like a beacon, he smiled and closed his eyes, thinking to himself. When he opened his eyes again, it was pitch black outside. Keeping his cool, Link walked blindly back into his old, thatched hut. Link thought best as to go right to sleep, so he could wake up early and go to the market. As soon as Link’s head hit his pillow, he was out like a light. Nothing seemed to startle his sleep. As Link slumbered, there was a bright light glowing from under his bed. Majora’s Mask was awakening! The mask was beating on the safe as hard as it could, as if it had a life of it’s own. The thumping grew louder, and at the very instant, Link woke up to see Majora’s Mask starting him right in the face!

Link started shrieking with horror at the sight of the tattered mask. His shriek sounds like a wolf howling at the moon, so nobody paid any attention to them. The mask was getting closer to Link’s face. He could smell the wood’s sour smell creeping into his nostrils. Just the smell of the mask alone made Link want to puke. Still shrieking, Link started to move away from the mask and get out of his hut. As Link leaped for the door, the mask whirled around and closed off Link’s only escape route. There was no other choice for Link; his weapons were all at the shop getting detailed and fixed. The only thing left was to manually fight the mask. Link punched and kicked the mask furiously, but the outcome was a sore hand. Having failed, Link decided to let the mask do what it wanted to do, so he dropped his guard. As quick as a bolt of lightning, the mask jumped onto Link’s face. He held his breath because of the foul odor the mask emitted. As if being controlled by some unknown force, Link was outside. It felt like his brain had been taken over by aliens and he is now the puppet. Now, Link could be seen by anyone who had any source of fire. He was stealing money and valuables from everyone he could see. And he could do nothing about it, and that made him feel terrible.

The next morning, Link could still smell the mask on his face. It clung there like a boa constrictor, and he was lying in a pile of dead leaves. As to his surprise, Link stood up and continued what he was doing from the previous night. Link was beating up and stealing everything he could get his hands on. From sparkling jewelry to gold coins.

There was one man, Rhemo, who dialed up the police, but they didn’t believe that the little hero, Link could be doing such a hanus crime. So Rhemo took action into his own hands. He gathered a bunch of his colleagues and told them of a plan he has of getting rid of Link for doing these dastardly actions.

As night fell upon Hyrule, and the sunset caused all the clouds to turn all colors of the rainbow, and everyone was going to sleep, Rhemo and his friends gathered at the most open spot in Hyrule. The field between the castle and Lon Lon Ranch. The men, earlier dared Link to come find them and take their valuables. The “new” Link can’t resist the thought of free goods, so he scoured Hyrule in search of them. After what seemed like hours of searching, Link finally found his prey. Creeping up from behind the men, he made a horrifying shriek that made the men jump like they were shot of out a canon. Quickly, Rhemo turned around and tried to grab Link by the throat. To his surprise Link was much quicker than he thought and he just choked air. Rhemo’s men got out a rope and quickly tied one end to a tall branch on a tree, and tied the other end into a loop for a noose. Grabbing a net, Rhemo started running after Link as fast as his legs would carry him, but after a few minutes of extremely fast chasing, Rhemo grew tried and stood against the tree with the rope on it to catch his breath.

Link swooped by 3 times, grabbing items from Rhemo’s pockets. Then, on the fourth time, one of Rhemo’s men yanked on the rope as hard as he could as Link ran by. In a split second, Link was dangling from the noose, but was still alive and squirming like a mad man. Rhemo then took the rope and tied it down so when he let go if it, link would get hanged. After a lot of squirming, Link finally stopped moving all together. At sunrise, Rhemo let go of the rope and Link was sent plummeting to his doom.
