CHAPTER ONE

Link walked slowly into the Courtyard. He stopped disappointedly to see no familiar person standing near the window. Pausing for a moment a yellow fairy came right up in his face and rang out like a bell.
"Well?! Where is she?!" the fairy rang out.
"I don't know Tatl," Link replied.
He supposed she was in the castle. Link was about to turn around to leave but was stopped by a familiar voice.
"Link?" Zelda cried from behind him.
Link whipped around to see the beaming face of his friend. Zelda dashed up to him and flung her arms around his neck.
"I missed you so much Link!!" the Princess gasped. "Its been so lonely without you."
"I missed you too, Zelda," Link replied.
Tatl came out of his pocket. "So this is Princess Zelda! She's as pretty as you said. Please to meet you Princess!"
"Pleased to meet you too, Tatl," Zelda replied politely.
"You know Link is very fond of yo-" the fairy started.
Link blushed and swished his hand at her irritantly. Zelda lauphed.
"I have an idea Link," Zelda said. "Why don't we go to Lake Hylia and catch up?"
Link nodded. "Sounds great!"

The three ventured on Epona to Lake Hylia. Link and Zelda then talked until the sun began to set. Link smiled, for a few moments they looked into eachothers eyes.
"Zelda," he said. "There's something I need to tell you."
The beautiful Princess grinned. "You can tell me anything Link."
"Well, um, ever since I left Hyrule I missed you alot. And while I was there I had a chance to think about my feelings and . . . what I'm trying to say is . . . Zelda, I-"
Link stopped, searing pain filled his body. He began to shake violently and his eyes went white.
Link quickly shut his eyes and opened them. Everything around him was dark! Where was he?!
For the first time in his life all of his Courage left him and he felt helpless! Then out of the dark-
ness a mask appeared. The Feirce Deity's Mask!! Its eyes began to glow and the mask came to life. "PUT ME ON!!" It boomed.
Link put his hands over his ears as the voice echoed in his head. He shivered. The mask had no patience and shook the ground beneath him. "I KNOW YOU WANT TO! YOU NEED TO! THE CRAVINGS ARE GETTING TO STRONG FOR YOU TO BARE!!"
"NNNOOOO!!" Link yelled crazily.
Zelda and Tatl rushed to his side. Tears drizzled down the Princess's face.
"Whats happening to him?" she cried.
Tatl rang out like a bell and said. "Hurry Princess! Lets take him to the castle!!"

CHAPTER TWO

Kafei walked out of the Stock Pot in into the dark night. Quickly he looked around to see if no one was looking and ran off to the Curiousity Shop. His friend was there as usual scratching under his armpits and picking his nose.
"Why hello, Kafei," the shop owner said. "What can I do for you today my fine Sir?"
"I need the mask," he replied.
The shop owner smiled and began rumaging through boxes and handed him a purple mask.
"Its Majora's Mask. I stole it from a stupid mask salesman in the woods. I should impress your fiance'." he said winking.
Kafei held the mask in his hands and peered at the evil red eyes. "I'll take it."
"That'll be 500 Rupees!" he said banging his hand on the counter.
"Okay okay!" Kafei replied plopping a big Ruppee bag on the counter.
With no further discussion he left the Curiousity Shop and went back to his home at the Stock Pot Inn.
The next morning he got up early to surprise Anju. He got up and grabbed the mask. Holding it up he smiled. The mask's eyes began to glow . . . his head was filled with thoughts . . . evil thoughts . . . it wouldn't hurt to just put it on . . . The next thing Kafei knew the mask slapped onto his face! He couldn't breath! Kafei threw his arms in all directions and tried pulling it off of his face. It was no use! His small body began to shake pain trickled into the core of his very bones.
"I'M BACK!!!" the mask shouted. "Pitiful boy. He was foolish enough to buy a curses mask. . . Now, where's Oni?"
Majora looked around in a circle and then knew where he was. "Aha!" he said. Majora flew up into the air and exploded the roof and started on his way.
"Next stop. HYRULE!!"

CHAPTER THREE

Zelda and Tatl sat queitly near Link's bedside. Tears trickled down the Princess's pail cheeks. Link looked up at her with a pail face, his eyes were still white. He couldn't speak, nor could he move or his body would shake and slam him back down on the bed.
But, right now Link's eyes were closed. Zelda held his cold hand.
"What's wrong with him?" Zelda cried.
Tatl sighed. "I have no clue . . ."

Link couldn't move. His vision was blurry, sometime's he'd see the crying face of Zelda. He would try to speak to her but nothing would come out. So there he layed in constant pain waiting for something to happen although he didn't know what.
Three days past.
"Are you ready to put me on now?!" Feirce Deity yelled.
"Ahuh," Link stammered.
The mask let him regain conciousness and there he could faintly see his beloved Princess Zelda.

"His eyes!" Zelda cried. "Their gaining color!"
Tatl bolted to her side and watched.
His mouth opened slightly. "M-ma . . .Feir-ce . . .Dei-ty . . . M-ma . . . Mask," he stammered.
"What is it Link? What do you need?" Zelda asked.
Tatl rang out like a bell and dashed into his pocket and pulled out the mask. "Is this what you want Link?"
He nodded.
"Okay," Tatl said.
The fairy handed it to Princess Zelda. She placed the mask carefully on his face. . .

"Good boy!" Feirce Deity said loudly.
Link's pain went away. A bright light blinded him and once again he became Feirce Deity. His eyes slowly opened. Link's hearing had left him for a moment but it suddenly was recharged by a haunting scream.
"AAHHH!!!" Zelda screamed backing away from Link.
He slowly rose from his bed and gave his head a good shake.
"Link!" Tatl cried who wasn't afraid of him.
Link smiled at Tatl. He looked over at the cowering girl and knelt his head low.
"We're going to go find our nemisis now. He's back and coming to Hyrule," the Deity boomed.
"What's in it for me?" Link asked angrily. "You just can't use me as a puppet and then expect me to just accept that!"
"How about I don't make you kill the girl your in love with over there?!" he screeched.
"DON'T TOUCH HER!!" Link roared.
"Then you do what I say!!" he said.
Link then fought no longer, he let Feirce Deity control him.
Guards then suddenly piled into the room and surrounded Link.
"Now what?" he asked.
"We fly!" Feirce Deity replied.
Link grabbed the giant sword of his back and fought his way out of the castle. Everything was blurred sometimes but he just kept going. He had to. The castle's drawbridge lowered and they flew up into the sky.
"Try and get us now!!" Feirce Deity shouted to the people below them.

"Link what are you doing?!" the Princess cried. "Come down!"
"Sorry, Sweetheart Link can't hear you! I've possessed his body and I now have complete control over him!"
"No!!" Zelda yelled furiously.
"I'm saving this world from Majora, you should be thankful," he replied.
Just then the sky grew dark. Clouds covered Hyrule and a feirce wind began to blow. Lightning flashed and Majora appeared before Link and Oni.
"ONI LONG TIME NO SEE!!" Majora roared.
"SAME TO YOU!!" Oni replied.
Oni Link pulled his sword out. "TO BATTLE!"
The two masks fought as their swords clashed sending sparks down upon the people watching. By now everyone in the castle stood outside watching the battle in disbelief.
Suddenly, Majora threw Oni's sword to the ground.

"Now what?!?!?" Link asked in fright.
"I'm thinking . . ." Oni said.
Before he could finish Majora took his sword and peirced it into Oni Link.
Luckily it was Oni who felt it and not Link. Oni began screaming in pain as green blood oozed out of him. Link then suddenly felt dizzy and before he knew it he was falling, the mask came off of his face and he hurtled to the ground with a loud thud.

"Link!" the Princess cried running as fast as she could to his side.
Majora smiled. "Such a young girl yet so beautiful."
"Don't you even dare touch her!!" The King roared.
All the guards circled around her and Link to protect them.
Majora lauphed. "You people are all foolish! Don't interfear with me and my plans! I simply am going to have to take Zelda for my wife and rule over this land. It will forever be cast in shadow!!!" A dark purple wave erupted over the land and it became a land of monsters and evil demons.
Majora floated all of the people except Link into the air and they disappeared. All but Zelda and Link was left.
"where did everyone go you feind!?" Zelda cried.
He lauphed. "Their in the dungeon my Princess which is where you will not be." He then teleported Zelda into her room and locked the door so she couldn't get out.
Majora floated down to Link's side and took the mask from him. He locked it deep in the basement of the Castle and then returned to his castle.

CHAPTER FOUR
Tatl peeked out of Link's hat. It was safe to come out but where were they?"
"Uhhh . . ." Link moaned.
Tatl rang out like a bell and said. "Link get up! Come on up and at em!"

Link's eyes slowly opened. "W-where am I?" he stammered standing up.
"Beats me," the fairy said.
Link jumped. "Tatl! Whats going on?"
Tatl quickly explained to him what had happened.
He knelt his head low. "The mask . . .its our only way to stop him."
"Well, before we do that we need to figure out how to get out of wherever we are," Tatl said.
The two peered through the dark mist.
"I see a house!" Link said pointing.
They dashed toward it as the fog slowly cleared. It wasn't a house, nor a castle, it was the Spirit Temple!
"What on earth is this?!" Tatl asked.
"Its the Spirit Temple. The Sage of Spirit was once captured here," he explained.
Tatl nodded. "I see, but how are we going to get back to the castle?!"
"At least I know where we are," Link said. "That's a start." After a short while Link suddenly remembered a song.
This song will lead you back to the Temple of Time. One day you will need to return here in a hurry, when that day comes remember this song.
Link pulled out his Ocarina of Time. "I need to teleport back!" He put the holy staff to his mouth and began to play the Song Of Time. Yellow light surrounded them and the next thing they knew they were in the Temple of Time.
"This place is odd!" Tatl commented.
"We're so close to the castle! Come on lets go!" Link ordered.
The two friends ran out of the temple and into the haunted market then to the castle. Dark Clouds surrounded the castle in a circle.
"How do we get in?!" Tatl asked frustratedly.
"I don't know the whole place is crawling with guards," replied Link. He thought for a moment. "I know! Through the drain hole!"
"Huh?" Tatl asked but before she could get an answer Link was dashing around the side of the castle. "Oh I see." the fairy rang out like a bell.
Link jumped toward the drain hole and slowly crawled inside . . .

Zelda fiddled with her door knob. No matter what she did it wouldn't open. Tears began pouring down her face in frustration. Just then Princess Zelda could hear footsteps coming toward her door. She quickly dashed away from the door and sat down at her vanity pretending to put on makeup. (Which she never did)
The door swung open and Majora stepped in. "Hello my love. We're going to be wedded soon. I want you to wear this."
He snapped his fingures and a long silky white dress appeared before Zelda. She held it in her hands and dropped it onto the ground. "No! I will not wear it!!"
He smiled and clapped his hands. With a puff of smoke the dress appeared on Zelda. It fitted her perfectly, the silk was soft as cotton.
"Oops! Almost forgot the vail!" Majora said.
With another puff of smoke it appeared in his hands and he placed it ontop of her head. Princess Zelda wanted to fight but knew there was no use.
"Come, we must wed," Majora serendaded her softly taking her hand. . .

"Here's the door!" Link said happily.
He and Tatl had just made their way through a labberanth of guards and nasty cridders.
Link turned the old rusty knob and pushed the door open. It creeked loudly and there on a strange alter lay the Feirce Deity Mask floated stilly.
"LONG TIME NO SEE LINK!!" Oni roared in his head. "COME TO PUT ME ON I SEE?!"
"Yes," Link replied holding his head. "Could you not talk so loud?!"
"Sorry," Oni replied. "Put me on and hurry! I think Majora is going to marry Zelda."
"NOT IF I HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY ABOUT IT!!!!" Link shouted.
He dashed over to where the mask was and slapped it on and once again they became Oni Link.
"To battle!" Tatl rang out like a bell.

Majora led Zelda into the throne room. Beautiful flowers had been placed on the long tables, and a long red carpet which led up to the thrones was now turned into a church alter.
Zelda's stomach churned. She was only twelve years old and was going to marry and insane Deity?! Tears once again poured from her face but she brushed them away. God knows where Link was! He's probably dead somewhere.
Organ music began to play and Majora led her down the red carpet until they came up to a tall fat Stalfos wearing strange robes.
"Do you Majora Deity take Princess Zelda to be your awefully wedded wife?" he asked in a raspy voice. . .

Tatl and Link walked slowly into the throne room. Quickly they hid behind a drape.
"We have to save Zelda!" Link said to Oni in his head.
"No! We're gonna kill Majora!!" Oni replied angrily.
"Look, we are never gonna accomplish something by argueing. Lets do both!" Link reasoned.
"We'll battle Majora and kill him then you turn back into a mask and I marry Zelda and we all live happily ever after okay?"
"Sounds good to me . . . Win win situation," Oni said.
As they devised a plan they waited for the que.
"Do you Princess Zelda take Majora to be your awefully wedded husband?" he asked.
"I-I d-" Zelda started but before she could finish the Stalfos's head fell off.
"What the?!" Majora roared in anger.
Oni Link's lauph echoed through the room. "You thought you could defeat us?! Your foolish! We now have teamwork!!"
With a burst of light Oni Link appeared floating above Majora.
"YOU!!" Majora roared. "You think I too don't have a person possessed?! How do you think I returned nitwit!"
Suddenly the familiar voice of Kafei filled Link's ears. "H-HELP ME!!!!!"
"KAFEI! HOW COULD YOU POSSESS SOMEONE SO INNOCENT?!?!?!" Link roared. "NOW YOU'VE MADE ME ANGRY!! FIRST YOU TRY TO MARRY ZELDA AND THEN YOU TRY TO DESTROY A DEAR FRIEND! LETS GET HIM ONI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"YES LETS!" Oni boomed.
Majora lauphed. "Alright, but I will win." He floated level with them and their swords clashed. . .

Zelda ran for cover behind a red drape and watched. Sparks flew in all directions and the ground shook from the masks' emense power. The Princess then prayed, she prayed that Link would win and he would come back to her okay. . .

Oni Link slashed Majora with their sword! Majora answered it with a dark whirlwind and sent then hurtling to the ground. The two were weak and couldn't get up. They slowly backed into a corner as Majora closed in on them . . . he slowly rose his sword . . .
"This is it Link," Oni said giving up.
"NOOOO!!! I'VE COME TOO FAR TO BE BEATEN AGAIN!!!!" Link roared. "I LOVE ZELDA AND I'M GOING TO LIVE TO BE WITH HER!!!!!!"
The Triforce of Courage appeared on Oni Link's hand. Link picked up his sword and beat Majora to the punch! There was silence for a moment but with a loud haunting scream he fell to the ground and the mask fell off revealing a small purple haired boy.
Link pulled the mask off and rushed to Kafei's side.
"Link," Kafei moaned remembering his friend. "I-I'm sorry."
"Its alright," Link replied smiling.
"You very brave boy," a familiar voice said.
Link and Kafei turned their heads to see the Mask Salesmen standing there smiling.
"I knew the mask was too powerful for me to handle . . . Link . . . Kafei . . . The masks you weild are more powerful than you can ever believe. Let me tell you a legend of the masks . . ."
Long ago in the land of Termina there lived two Deitys. They decided to work in Harmony and create a world where creatures would live like them in Harmony. Once it was done they very
carefully watched over their world until  . . . Majora, the Deity of  Power wanted to destroy the race of man for they were foolish . . . Oni, the Deity of Harmony being the creator of man wanted to keep them and believed that the other races were foolish . . . Soon a serious fight caused the two masks to wage in a Great War. The Four Giants . . . The Keepers of the land didn't want this to destroy their world so they sealed the two Beings into masks . . . Thus the races were divided from one another hense their opinions on which Deity was the True Master
Of Them All . . . It is said that in order for the masks to fufill their Destiny they must find two souls to possess and use them to battle the other . . . whoever is victorious will rule over the
land of Termina . . .
"You two . . ." said the Mask Salesman. "Were the two chosen to weild the masks. But, I am afraid they will haunt you forever unless, the two masks are destroyed then you two will be free."
"How can we do that?" Link asked.
"We must set the Blue Fire and throw the masks into the center where they will desintigrate into ashes and dissapear into the Sacred Realm." he explained.
"Wow, I never thought," Tatl said.
"Hurry! We must do it before the sun rises!" the Mask Salesman said.
They all hurried out of the door but were stopped by a voice.
"Link!!" Zelda cried coming out from her hiding place.
Link put his arms around her and held her close. "Its okay Zelda, your safe now."

They all followed the mask salesman outside.
"Keeyak! Munchuk, muklunk, annoyawa, janbobogagtsage," the salesman said and the Blue Fire began to flare. "Now throw them in."
Link took one last look at the mask. Its been fun Oni, sort of and he tossed it into the fire. Kafei didn't even bid his good bye's to the Evil monstrosity and threw it in.
Just then light filled the land of Hyrule. The sun rose before the castle and all the evil left the land. Hylians came out of hiding and began to cheer! It truelly was the perfect day!
The Salesman bowed to the three children. "Kafei I will take you home. I'm sure Anju would love to see you again."
Kafei nodded. "Thank you," he turned to Princess Zelda and bowed to her. "It was a pleasure Your Highness and just to let you know I don't want to marry you."
Zelda lauphed. "It was a pleasure. Good bye and good luck!"
"Link," Kafei said shaking his hand. "See you around. I wish you both a happy rest of your lives!"
And with that they mounted the Mask Salesman's horse and rode to Termina.
