Majora's Return: By: Jacob Paul Hasty

A lone figure looked down on the Hyrule castle from Death Mountain. It was a grand palace, on the edge of an even grander kingdom. But more importantly, in the courtyard was the Temple of Time, the house of the master sword. The master sword was the sealer of the Dark Realm, which was at the time the prison of the Emperor of Darkness Ganondorf. The man on the mountain was no visitor to the land of Hyrule, but his second home was in Termina, the sister kingdom of Hyrule. And this man was on a mission, a mission to dominate. The man was the recantation of the Shaman of the evil forces, and the dark powers of the underworld. This man was Majora, and he was back for revenge. And he would take out anyone who would dare to try to stop him. Majora knew that two things would stop his plans for universal domination; Link the Hero of Time, and the fact that his mask was gone.

His purple heart shaped hexing mask with the deep eyes, how he mourned the loss of his mask. Without it, his powers wouldn't be enough to destroy the Hero of Time. And without his mask he couldn\rquote t bring back the other three leaders. The two were Onox the general of Darkness; and the witches of the desert, the Twinrova sisters. And to fulfill these tasks, he needed his mask. He heard rumor that the wandering mask salesman had it and was headed for Hyrule. And Majora would be waiting for him at the gate, with a killer fury. It has been lost for hundreds of years and a salesman had it! Majora had enough folly, it was time for action!

The mask salesman was always happy; he looked at it as better business. But after years of faking his smiles and laughter, it became natural to him. He even changed his shop name to the Happy Mask Shop. But he was even happier today, because he had just found the legendary mask of Majora. Sure it was a hexing mask used in ancient tribal rituals and also a powerful tool of evil. But it was one of the oldest artifacts of ancient Termina; making it very expensive! The mask salesman had no name, no family, and only his masks to keep him company on his long travels between kingdoms. But selling this mask would make him rich, well known, and boost his business.

He already had a small business going in the Hyrule marketplace. But he had to carry around all his wares in Termina and the other kingdoms. The mask salesman stopped at a nearby fork in the path. He knew one path was on a guarded road and safe for travelers. But the other road was a faster way to Hyrule but was crawling with thieves. The mask salesman was in a hurry, but was to clever for thieves. He took the short way but walked along side the road giggling, "He-he-he, those robbers are to dumb to get me!" Link woke up and looked around his room, streamers were all over the ceiling, and the place was redecorated to fit the mood of a party. Link then zeroed in on Navi, his fairy, who was sleeping in the corner of the bed. Navi woke up just then, still tired, but when she saw Links evil stare she bolted out of the bed and nervously greeted him."H-happy Birthday Link, don't worry; I'll fix the room back to the way it was after the party." Link rolled his eyes and took a deep breath. He didn't care for parties that much; nevertheless he wasn't known to get angry and it looked like Navi worked all night to set up for a party. Link got up and asked Navi a never before asked question to a fairy."Navi, when's your birthday? And also; green or blue tunic? Navi sat in deep thought, obviously a hard question. She stood up, even though it made no difference since she was only three inches in height, and presented her answer. "Well, I don't know when my birthday is, but I know my age. I'm around eighty years old. I know I don't look it but fairies can live to be thousands of years old. So I'm pretty young for my species group. And you should wear the green tunic to the party; that's your color." Link put on the green tunic and got ready for the day. He wanted to look good for his party. He went to his window and opened it to air out the room of the cake smell. But when he looked out the window he saw one of his old friends, Kaepora gaebora the owl! Kaepora gaebora was a guardian of Hyrule. He warned the town of approaching danger and such.

"How do you do Link? Turning 11 without telling me are you? Well anyway, I got you a present!" With that, Kaepora flew off to the castle in the north. Not much for small talk. Link opened up his gift and set it down, it was a box with a button on it. Link pressed the button and out came dozens of orange rupees! Each of them was worth 200 rupee, in total making 10,000 rupees! Also a note came out of the box reading, "Dear Link our hero, I offer my thanks to you in currency of 10,000 rupee. Also my personal thanks of your brave battle against Ganondorf, the now imprisoned emperor of darkness! And the mayor of our sister kingdom Termina, also expresses his thanks with a soon coming gift. My daughter Zelda also says thanks, and Happy Birthday from the whole kingdom!" Daphnes Harkinian Hyrule, King of Hyrule. Wow, a thank you note from the King and Princess doesn't happen every day. He put down the note and headed out the door to start his day. The part he likes least about birthdays is that everybody acts weird around you. Especially weird if you're the Hero of Time and favorite of the king. But strange enough, the first person Link bumped into was a tall smiling man with a huge backpack with masks bulging out. "Hello little child," the man gleefully said. "Can you tell me where the Hyrule castle is! I seem to have taken a wrong step in the woods heh-heh" Link looked up at the man and replied, "The castle is almost a mile north of this village. A little past Lon Lon Ranch through Hyrule field." The man replied, "Thank you boy, here have this for your help." The man gave Link a Skull necklace; a treasure that can only be found in far away lands such as Windfish Isle. A very rare piece of jewelry that can only be found on the necks of Moblins: powerful monsters with great weapons and viciously attack until death, making the Skull necklace an extremely hard to get treasure. And the man walked off to the castle without saying another word.

Then Saria came out of her house with everybody in the village behind her. They all shouted out in unison, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINK!"

Everyone, even Mido, greeted Link with a great smile. The whole village gave Link one big present covered with everyone's signature. Link opened up the huge gift to find a tiny seed lying on the bottom of the package. But not just any seed, this was a home sprout seed. It could grow a big tree in only a year! Best gift a forest child could get! Everybody went into Links house and the party began. They ate, talked, and partied! After Link's party, everybody left; he put all his gifts away and went to bed.

When he woke up, hell struck. The first thing Link noticed when he got up was he smelled smoke, and the air was warm from flame. Link jumped out of bed, grabbed his sword and lept out the door. Something wasn't right about this, there hasn't been a forest fire here in over 200 years!

Link burst outside and saw it! The Twinrova sisters Koume and Kotake were attacking the village!

Fire Twinrova [Koume] was scorching the place; while ice Twinrova [Kotake] was freezing all the water! Link ran back inside and came back out with his bow. FHWING! One arrow struck Koume in the head!

"AAAAAAIIIEEEEE!" She screamed out in agony as the arrow pierced her flesh and through her skull. But it would take more than that to kill a witch, especially a witch of the desert. Koume shot out a pillar of flame at Link, missing him. But getting his house!

Link pulled out another arrow, but this time a Light arrow, the weapon that can slice through pure evil. FHWING! Right in the chest below the neck!

Koume wasn't down yet; she swooped down and fired again. This time getting him! Link pulled out his shield and protected himself from further burning from the witch. When Koume ceased her attack, Link pulled out another Light arrow and struck her between the eyes!

"YYAAAAGGGGHHHH!" And in a fiery burst, she was gone. Now only Kotake was left. When she saw what happened to her sister, she gave Link all she had. With a snap of her fingers, the whole forest was covered in ice and snow! Making it difficult to stand or run anywhere.

Link then pulled out a fire arrow and struck Kotake in the chest. "AAAAAARRRGGHH!" The ice attack had left her weak and that fire arrow did her in. In a flash, she was gone.

Mido came out of his hiding place and had a funny stare when he looked at Link. Saria peeked out; when she saw Link she blushed and covered her face. Then Mido broke out in a roar of laughter. Link was in such a hurry when he woke up in the morning, that he defeated the Twinrova sisters undressed! Link quickly ran back into his now crisped house and got dressed.

Majora looked down upon the frozen forest with disgust, but still gleeful. Right behind him was the bloody maimed body of the mask salesman. Majora had his mask back; and Link was his next target. But he would wait till later to deal with him. When he least expected it. Majora had one goal left, but it would be a difficult one.

Link and all of the Kokiris worked hard for days to de-ice the forest. Mido thought that since he was "top Kokiri" that he didn't have to work. But everyone thought otherwise and he got one of the hardest jobs: thawing out the Great Deku Tree. The Deku Tree was the guardian of the forest. But he couldn't handle witches or all-powerful beings since he was so old. He was the oldest being in all Hyrule. But after thawing out the forest, the Kokiris had to fix their damaged homes, take care of all the water, and fix the scorched ground all around them. A few helpers from the castle stopped by and sped things up a bunch. Instead of a possible month, they fixed everything in less than two weeks!\par \par About a month later Link visited the Temple of Time for a talk with the Sage of Light, the wise Rauru.

"Rauru, how did the Twinrova Sisters return if I defeated them in the Spirit Temple a year ago?"

Rauru sat back in deep concentration before he answered. Then he spoke, "It seems a great evil is upon us. And the way I see it, that evil is calling up all the slain leaders of darkness for his cause. Ganondorf may already be alive again. You must take the Master Sword and defeat this evil Link! Now go, I will alert all the

Link knew that the Master Sword was the only way to defeat the evil brought upon Hyrule. But it rested in the Pedestal of Time, pulling the Master Sword out of it may cause Link to go seven years into the future again, and that was a mind blower. But it had to be done, Link walked up to the Master Sword and pulled it out of the pedestal. Suddenly a flash of light burst from the pedestal shooting up in the air!

Nothing happened! He was still 11, what a relief. Now to prove himself a Hero again. Link raced out the door and hopped onto his horse Epona and raced back to Kokiri Forest to get some stuff from his house. He decided to take the long and scenic rout that passed by the Gerudo Valley in the west. As Link was riding by, he heard loud roaring and shouting coming from far off. He rode into the valley but he couldn't find what was making the noise. So he rode as far as he could into the desert.

Link heard the noise again, coming from over a sand dune. Link slowly looked over the dune and saw the horror.

Millions, no billions of creatures all lined up in order of breed in front of a podium. Lisalfos with their forked tongues flicking in and out of their mouths. Iron Knuckles with their enormous battle-axes over their shoulders. Dodongos all covered in armor with their huge teeth sticking out. Poes lined up with a lantern in one hand, a spear in the other. Re-deads, Gibdos all ready to rip apart man-flesh. Wizrobes with their wands ready to burn any opponents to crisp. Stalfos with their huge red bent swords in their palms. Moblins with their long clubs across their hip. And last, the Darknuts with their enormous swords over their shoulder and battle armor and also their huge shields; the worst of them all.

On the podium was a ten-foot tall man covered with armor so thick that no sword in the land could pierce it. In his hand was a mace so large, that it could brake through walls with the effect of gunpowder. He had three eyeholes in his thick pointy helmet. Standing next to him was a man in a long red cape and a suit fit with jewels and precious metals. And on his face was a mask of deep violet and eyes with a stare that could bring down a dragon. Next to that man was Ganondorf! Rauru the sage was right about the great evil, and it all leaned towards the man wearing the odd mask.

Link jumped back on Epona and rode off to Kokiri Forest to grab all his equipment, and warn everyone. Hell had come, and he had friends with him.

After entering the forest, Link jumped off Epona and ran off to his house shouting, "Get to shelter! Ganondorf has returned!"

That's all it took to start a panic, all the Kokiris ran into their homes in a mad frenzy. Link grabbed all his weapons and supplies and hopped back on Epona to warn the king, but on his way across the field, the sky darkened, and off to the east the mountain rumbled. In a big burst of molten lava Death Mountain covered it's base with fire and death. Kakriko village at the base was burnt to crisp in seconds along with the villagers.

Link paused for a moment to mourn the loss of the men and women who didn't have a chance to escape. Link was really distressed now; Death Mountain was sealed up by the Gorons a few months ago with the finest material. Even Ganondorf would've had a struggle trying to break the seal.

After his moment of silence he continued on to the castle. Approaching the gate, Link saw a thunderstorm over the desert; not a good sign. Entering the town Link hopped he wasn't too late. Link shouted out as he walked through the market, "Head for shelter! Ganondorf has returned!"

Same as his Kokiri friends, they scattered and ran to their homes. As Link approached the castle, he saw the king waiting at the gate for him. When the king saw Link approaching he ran out to Link and greeted him. "What news do you bring, hero of Hyrule?'

Link took a breath and told the king everything, "Death Mountain blew, Ganondorf has returned, along with some other men of evil, and an army of darkness is forming at the desert! All is true and we must act quickly!"

The king stood there stunned, shocked, and most of all frightened. The king got a grip of himself and ran back into the castle yelling, "Good job Link, now warn all the other races of Hyrule while I prepare our forces! Ride hard Link, and be safe!" With that, the king slammed the door behind him and told the news to everyone in the castle.

Link rode off and warned the fish people the Zoras, and rock eaters, the Gorons. Both took action and prepared for war with Ganondorf. But Link knew deep down that Ganondorf's army was too powerful to be beaten with the small army Hyrule had. The king knew this also, so he sent a scout to Termina to ask for some of their men, and another scout went throughout Hyrule assigning new solders for the army. More scouts went worldwide to vast kingdoms for some men.

A few weeks later, all the scouts came back with millions of men from the globe. If the war was won, the king agreed to pay back all the other kingdoms with a

A man in robes of green came up to Link and mumbled under his breath, "A Hero leaves his fellow men, and returns then fights. Amen; may it mark dark emperor's day the last, then he fights evil of a year past; the sky rain red flame, for a boy on a quest to be a hero again. The man with the face, will live thrice; but though shan't remember, till thee are at death's door come end of September."

Link rode back to Kokiri Forest and dwindled around waiting for the horn of blood to blow at the castle; for the horn would warn of the war starting. Link goofed around the village for a while. Nobody was calm or relaxed enough to play or have fun; the horn could blow at any minute! Link went to bed early in hopes of a good night's sleep. But sleep never came to him, same with the rest of Hyrule. Everyone in Hyrule got out of bed and tried to walk their rest back into themselves. But when everyone saw their friends out too, they got suspicious. People began to think that Ganondorf was cursing them, but they were wrong. There on the castle top, was Majora chanting a curse of uneasiness.

As Link was walking around he noticed a man in robes covering his whole body waddling around. Link went up to the man and asked him, "Where are you from? I haven't seen you around here mister, are you lost?"

The man replied, "Take me to the Lost Woods."

Link guided the man up to the sacred place of the meadow and showed the man a stump to sit on. Now that Link had his full attention, he asked again, "Where are you from? With this war about to start, I'm suspicious about strangers."

The man extended his hand for a handshake, Link refused, but the man kept his hand out. When Link refused for the second time, the man looked around nervously and whispered into Link's ear, "Rauru. As a sage, being out in the open isn't a safe gesture on my part. I have something for you in my hand." Link shook hands with Rauru. As soon as Link received the object Rauru faded away, blending with the forest. Link was shocked at what it was he received. A clock with a countdown of three hours! Link called out for his friend Kaeporagaebora the guardian owl. With a burst of feathers, Kaepora took the clock and vanished. Kaepora had a knack for knowing what you wanted before you said it. Except for the one time Kaepora grabbed the wrong package and delivered Link's present for Saria and gave it to princess Zelda. Saria was steamed and never talked to Link until Kaepora explained the mix-up to her.

Link had no time for flashbacks; he ran throughout the village and woke everybody up. Link passed out the weapons and armor. While Saria prepared the horses and alerted the Skull Children in the Lost Woods. The Skull Children weren't really experts in battle, but they had good aim and agreed to be bowmen.

The king alerted the entire kingdom and set up the forces; only one hour was left. The Zoras were the water troops, the Gorons were the..well they weren't the brightest of creatures; they got to throw boulders or rocks or big heavy things. The Hylians, top of the races, just like humans except Hylians had pointy ears and a innermost power; they were the front linemen, armed with the toughest armor in Hyrule, swords of steel, and shields of splendor along with daggers fit for the kill. And last but not lea- well..yah, the least. The Kokiri children clothed in green were armed with daggers, sharp stones, and wooden shields. Not front line material what so ever.

The troops, Hylians, Kokiris, and a few Gorons all lined up in the center of Hyrule field to meet the foe. Ten minutes till the war started. The king kept record of the new men and the men he started out with. He came up with a fair count of 2.7 billion men; the largest army in the world, except for Ganondorf's army perhaps.

The horn of blood blew as the timer reached two minutes. The ground started to rumble as the weather violently twisted the blades of grass in the field. Thirty seconds.

The men all drew out their weapons to destroy the foe that would come. Ten seconds.

All of the sudden the weather stopped blowing. The rain ceased, but the darkness in the air still loomed about the kingdom. Time up.

The ground shook more violently than before, and out of the ground came thousands of hands! Rotten, moldy, bloodied up hands with brownish green fleshy arms. Nobody even thought about what they were, it was simple, Re-deads; the most horrifying of all monsters in the land, living dead with nasty flesh, and deep empty eye sockets with small red irises that swell when in battle. Just their scream could paralyze a man of valor.

The Re-deads climbed out of the ground and sat there waiting for battle, waiting with their empty drained eye sockets. Just sitting there, staring, staring at the warriors in armor, ready to devour living flesh.

A solder ran out with his blade drawn towards a Re-dead, but even a brave soul couldn't fight off the fear of a Re-dead's screech.

The Re-dead\'s irises grew, and it let out a blood-curling scream that froze every solder in fear!

The man stood there helpless, watching the Re-dead coming closer and closer. The Re-dead hopped on the man's back, and ripped him in half with his organs and tissue spilling out all over the grass! The other men closed their eyes as the Re-dead ate the man's body with glee and delight.

The Re-dead turned around to devour another solder with blood dripping from its mouth, but the Re-dead exploded in a burst of blood and rotting skin instantly

The men looked around to see what caused this to happen and saw Link putting his bow away. Link looked at all the inquisitive eyes and answered, "Light Arrow, works well on creatures like that."

Link pulled out more as the rest of the army charged out to the Re-deads. Screams filled the air, and the sound of ripping flesh filled the air also. But the Hylian army easily outnumbered the Re-deads. One by one the Re-deads were slaughtered along with the men. But after hours of bloodshed, the Re-deads were all gone.

"Rest up now," Link yelled out to the men, "Because the next wave is coming soon!"

As soon as those words were spoken, yelling and shouting came from the far west. The same noise Link had heard before he saw the army of evil. On the horizon, an army of evil charged, an army of Darknuts, Iron Knuckles, Moblins, Lisalfos, Stalfos, Gibdos, Wizrobes, Poes, and Dodongos. And hovering above them all were the leaders: Onox, Majora, and Ganondorf! All with smiles on their faces and a hating desire to see Link and Hyrule destroyed!

The two armies collided, shields blown into splinters, and swords slicing up the opponents. Screams of agony could be heard from miles around, along with the screams of the weaker cousins of the Re-deads, the Gibdos. Men being eaten alive, blown to shreds, and burned to crisp slowly; Link couldn't stand it. Ganondorf enjoyed the sick violence of war, especially when he was winning!

Link ran from the battlefield to the Kokiri Forest, he had killed enough anyway. Besides, Link had to warn the Kokiris that had not gone to war; the enemy was approaching the forest quickly! But when Link entered the forest, all the Kokiris were gone! Link looked around and in the houses for them, still no sign of them. But then Saria came out of the forbidden woods, quivering and sobbing.

"What happened!?" Link asked, \ldblquote Were is everybody!?"

Saria answered softly, "S-stalfos, dozens of them, they attacked us and rounded us up. Then they..they...slaughtered them all; I'm t-the only one who escaped alive. T-they hid the r-remains of everybody in a chest and b-buried it out in Hyrule field."

Saria burst out crying and buried her head in Link's chest, all the Kokiri were so close to each other that they were family to each other.

Link put his hand on Saria's shoulder and said, "their death pains me too. But I couldn't live with myself if I lost you. Come with me, I know a place where you will be safe. Inside of the great Deku tree; it's the safest place in the land. Hide in there until it is safe. Goodbye."

Link then rode off back to the war, out of the forest. Saria ran into the safety of the Deku tree and waited for Link's return.

When Link got back out into the field, he couldn't stand it. Thousands of millions of dead bodies and carnage everywhere! The Hylian army was smaller than ever, but Ganondorf's army was shrinking too. About a billion to a few hundred million, Ganondorf's favor. In a matter of hours, the war would end, and Ganondorf would be the victor. Link charged out and started slicing up Stalfos, even though it was impossible to beat them all. Link fought for hours, demolishing hundreds of Stalfos, Poes, and Lisalfos! But Link got tired, so he then ran back to Kokiri forest and got Saria, got all their belongings and everybody else's and left.

They headed out to Termina field, the closest kingdom next to Hyrule. With all their supplies, Epona couldn't walk too much farther than Termina. Along the way, a few hiding solders followed them. That meant some protection for them along the road.

Before they entered the woods that led to Termina, they all looked back at Hyrule. The castle was under siege, Death Mountain was erupting, and Hyrule field was in flames. Looking was over; it was time to go to Termina.

After a long three-day ride through the woods between kingdoms, the group reached Termina field. The solders that tagged along stayed at the inn. While Link and Saria being forest children, stayed out in the field. Link purchased a tent at the town market, and some food for dinner. Link pitched up the tent and started a fire for dinner.

Saria sat next to Link and told him, "Thanks for getting me out of Hyrule, you saved my life. And thanks for all this hard work you've put into making this more enjoyable. And without you, Hyrule would have been attacked and taken out in a matter of hours. Even though Hyrule lost the war; Ganondorf's army is crippled and the other kingdoms will have a chance!

Link replied without looking away from the fire, "I started an account with the last of my money in town here. And I could work at the Romani Ranch soon too; they're looking for a worker."

Saria smiled and remarked, "And people say nobody's perfect."

After dinner Link set up the bed then they both went to sleep. In the morning they both woke up well rested and got ready for the day. Link went over to the ranch for work; while Saria went around town getting to know people.

Link rode Epona to the ranch and passed by a man begging on the side of the road with a tin cup. Link put a few dozen rupees in the man\rquote s cup and hopped on Epona. But before they left the man got up and walked over to Link with a small bag

The man smiled and thanked Link with a present, and sat back down. Inside the bag was a camera!

The man bowed his head and said, "It was my spare, but a kind heart such as yours deserves it. Most men give nothing; you gave me 84 rupee! And without asking me of my condition also, you are a kind lad."

Link bowed his head and rode off to the ranch. When he got there, a small girl about a year or two under his age came running out of the house and greeted him. "Hello Greeny! What are you here for?"

Link asked where the owner of the ranch was and the little girl replied, "Oh-you mean my older sister, she's in the house right there."

Link walked into the house and found the owner of the ranch sitting at the table. They talked about the job, but Link was too young. Plus he needed to be a registered citizen of Termina.

Link left disappointed and rode back to the tent. Saria was there and he told her about the ranch deal, Saria didn't care about the age requirement."You"re a hard worker, practically a solder, savior of Hyrule, courageous, and friendly! You"re perfect for that job, it's easy and requires a person who's willing to work. Next week after we get more settled in, I'm going to have a talk with the ranch owner."

"Fine with me. In the meantime, I got a new camera." During the week, Link registered as a citizen, and tried out his new camera while they were having fun. Ended up as a photo album for them.

After a week of fun and picture taking, Saria went up to Romani Ranch and had a talk with the boss. She came back with good news, Link got the job, and she found out that the boss' name is Cremia and her little sister is called Romani. Link had to show up at sunrise every morning, and he left whenever he was done with his work. Link thought it was fair and went to the tent and grabbed something for work. He grabbed his Goron bracelets to speed work up. With these, he would be as strong as five grown men!

Link and Saria went to bed early so they would be rested for tomorrow. Saria had just gotten a job too! She worked at the observatory outside of town. It was a purple dome with a huge telescope coming out of it, with a high fence going around it. Pretty nice job for a Kokiri, because the Kokiri every night before they went to sleep they would look at the stars and name, count, or make pictures or whatever with the stars. Saria did all that and more, she was perfect for the job. Of course, Link thought she was perfect; and Saria thought Link was perfect too. They have been friends ever since they've met. Of course Link had saved Saria's life three times. And Saria had never saved Link's life before; but they were as close as friends could get.

Link walked out to the ranch with his Goron Bracelets or G.B.s, as he would call them. And Saria walked to the observatory.

Link noticed as he entered the ranch that there were no trees anywhere. Last time there were at least a dozen trees planted.

Must be clearing out the field, he thought. After searching around Link found Cremia working in the shed.

"Good morning boss, what my first job?" Link asked.

Cremia jokingly replied, "ou could move this stubborn cow back into the fenced pen."

Link ran over to the cow and crawled underneath it. He put his hands on the cow's sides and lifted it off the ground. Well, a few inches off the ground. Link, straining underneath the overweight cow's weight, took a deep breath and took a small step. He was already exhausted, but he took a few more steps, and rolled the cow off his back into the grass inside the pen.

Cremia looked at Link with disbelief and shock, a young boy just picked up a cow and carried it three feet. She asked, "What\rquote s your secret?"

Link showed her his G.B.s and explained, "I'm given the strength of five men with these, so don't hesitate to ask me to do a hard job. What else do you want me to do?\"

Cremia gave Link a list and said she'd watch him do it all.

"Milk the cows" Link pulled out his Ocarina and played the musical ranch song called "Epona's Song" After hearing the music, the cows all gave double the quota for milk in half the time!

"Mow front & back yard" Link messed around with the horse plow and put revolving blades on it. He then tied it to his hands and pulled it around the house; doing it in less than the normal yard work time.

"Clean hens" Link played the Song of Storms on his Ocarina and flash! A downpour of rain washed the hens or cuckoos as everybody called them, it washed them in seconds!

"Wash house." Link got that done washing the cuckoos.

"Gather cuckoo eggs". Link kicked the bottom of the board supporting the nests and caught the eggs as they came down. Not an egg was harmed, and the job got done in no time at all.

"Rake out road." Link called Epona, got a rake, and rode her backwards up and down the road. Done in minutes.

"Pull out weeds from field\." Link looked out at the vast field and ran inside. He came out a few minutes later with a bucket of weed killer. Being a forest child, Link knew all about weeds. And in an hour, the field was covered in weed killer.

"Hmmm, look at that. Out of things to do, BOSS!"

Cremia came over and answered him, "You can go home, most of these would've taken a normal person days or forever! But you're obviously very creative and smart. Thank you for your hard work I'm glad to have a worker like you, and here's your pay!"

Link took his pay and rode Epona back to the tent to wait for Saria. As he was waiting, he counted his pay and came up to a total of 200 rupee. Not bad, but if he had his money the king had given him, life would be better for him and Saria. But the money was lost after the Twinrova burnt his house to crisp. But if Kaeporagaebora the owl could hear him from Termina, he could find it. Kaeporagaebora was an excellent owl when it came to finding things!

Link ran outside and shouted with all his might, "KAEPORAGAEBORA!!!"

Instantly, the owl was there with a sack of rupees and a smile on his face. "Good to see you again Link! I knew you'd want this money, no secret gets past old Kaeporagaebora! But I distress to say, Hyrule is lost. The kingdom is covered in darkness, and the Kokiri Forest is burnt to crisp, and all the towns are destroyed, along with all the villagers and townsfolk. Hmmmmm...another voice calls my name, see you later Link!" And in a burst of feathers, he was gone.

Then Saria crept up behind Link and jumped on his back. "Hey there, what are you doing out here? Let's go to the tent, farmer boy."

Saria rode Link into the tent and told Link the news about his money being returned. And the news about Hyrule, Saria couldn't stand it. She told Link, \ldblquote Link, we've lost! Hyrule is gone with our friends and our homes. Billions died for Hyrule but now Ganondorf has it. Ganondorf along with his other dark lords and minions. And we're both living here safe and comfortably while survivors are tortured or slaughtered!"

Link told her, "We have to forget about all that, start all over again. We can both now quit our jobs, get a small house, and live content. All the other kingdoms aren't going to stand for Hyrule's destruction; they'll win Hyrule back. And the king escaped safely, so an attack on Ganondorf's army will be soon I'm sure. Now let's go to bed and get some rest."

Link and Saria got in bed, both tired from the day's work. Saria faced towards Link and told him, "Link, you're my best friend; even closer than that. And I want to tell you something, there's one thing I hate about being a Kokiri. It's the fact that I'm going to be in a body at the age of ten forever. You're a Hylian and you know that I\'m Kokiri, but you've always been there for me. You even helped me realize the fact that I'm the Sage of the Forest. Not the best job but as long as at least one of the seven sages live, Ganondorf cannot have the Triforce. But you also know the fact that if a Kokiri leaves the forest that we.. we die?"

Link felt a horrible knot form in his stomach; it was true that Kokiris live forever if in the forest or not killed in battle. Link got out of bed and went outside.\par Saria held back her tears; outside the forest she would only live to an age of forty or less. Also she would be more susceptible to harm out of the forest.

She went outside to find Link and talk to him. But Link ran to her, grabbed her and whispered into her ear,"You're going to live forever." He then hopped on Epona and rode off. Leaving Saria behind out in the light rain. She got back in bed and went to sleep, hoping a safe journey for Link and Navi.

Meanwhile, Link was in a dilemma, he had come to a fork in the road. He took what looked like the shortest path and rode as fast as Epona would go. Speeding through the pouring rain and harsh wind; Link only had one thing on his mind; Saria.

Saria woke up the next morning and went to town, she felt awful. Watching Link run off like that, and hearing about what became of Hyrule, and her head was beating harder than heck. A side effect of being out of the forest for a few days. Walking through the town crowd her vision was going blank, and her legs felt weak beneath her. Then everything went black.

Link walked into the Temple of Time, probably the only place Ganondorf hasn\rquote t touched. He looked around and found it! He found the Kokiri Emerald; it would surely keep Saria alive outside of the forest!

Link grabbed the emerald and put it in his pocket, he looked around at the rest of the emeralds and grabbed them also. But as he was leaving, four Stalfos barged in the temple with their swords drawn! As they got close to Link, they faded away to mist! The temple was too holy a place for such evil. Link continued on his way and rode Epona out of the marketplace, but on the way through Hyrule field, a bunch of Wolfos and Poes attacked!

Saria woke up; she looked around and saw a doctor walk by. She looked down by her leg and saw Links head rested next to it. Her eyes widened as she looked at Link, he had a bandage on his arm and a huge scratch on his face! Saria shook him and woke him up.

Link sat up, stretched, and gave Saria a present saying to her, "Morning sleepyhead! You know that you've been asleep for five days?"

Saria opened the gift and was dazzled by what it was, "The Kokiri Emerald! Link how did you get this?"

"Well; I sneaked inside the Temple of Time, and ran out with the all the emeralds. But on the way back, some Wolfos and Poes in the dozens attacked me! Giving me these scratches and a broken arm. But it would be worth breaking every bone in my body for you to have that emerald. I even put a string through it so you could wear it around your neck" Saria put it on, instantly feeling the effects of long life being bestowed upon her.

Link picked Saria up with his good arm and walked back to the tent. Link set Saria on the bed and tucked her in. "The doctor said the you needed to stay in bed for a few days. So if you need anything, just ask." Saria acknowledgingly nodded her head and went to sleep, she still felt pretty funny. While she was asleep, Link crept out and went to town.

A few hours later, Saria woke up a looked around for Link, and found him. In the bed, totally out of it, still dressed, so he must have been out late. She looked at the clock and it was almost sunrise! She decided not to wake up Link and went back to sleep.

"Where is he!?" Majora cried out as he looked through all the corpses left over from the war. 1.5 billion bodies and still no sign of Link! Ganondorf came up to Majora and told him, "I have looked throughout the bodies in the chest that the Stalfos buried after killing the Kokiris; no Link."

Majora was burning deep inside with fury, where was Links body! No one could've lived through that huge war! No one!

Onox then came up to Ganondorf and said, "I searched the castle, no sign of Links body. But I found the queens body! Hundreds of arrows through the back, HA!"

Majora couldn't hold it any longer; Links body was proof of his destruction! He clenched his fists in rage and screamed at the top of his lungs, "Curse you Link!!!! Curse you to the fiery pits of the Realm of Darkness!!! May your soul burn!!!"

Ganondorf kneeled in front of Majora and told him of one of his finds, I couldn't find the Forest Sages body either. And the Goron Ruby, Zora Sapphire, and the Kokiri Emerald are also missing.

Majora took a deep breath and replied to Ganondorf, "We do not need to find Link if you think he lives, we shall wait for him to come to us. And when he does, give him trouble...personally."

Ganondorf nodded his head and went back to the castle; Link wouldn't slip through unnoticed this time.

Link woke up and was startled when he saw Saria looking down on him.

"Good morning Link. Where were you last night?" Saria asked.

Link showed Saria some papers and gave her some news; "I bought us a house last night! It's on the east side of town near the woods section of Termina. I got us a big bed and a stove for cooking. I also got us a bunch of food and I started an account at the bank. So in a few days we'll move in, as soon as you're better."

Saria gave Link a big long hug and told him, "I'm the luckiest girl on earth; I have the perfect guy, and the powers of a sage to keep us in touch with Hyrule."

Saria got up next to Link and told Navi, "Here Navi, hold the camera."

Majora looked down from his window, he had just finished… refurbishing the castle. Darkness everywhere, blood-stained fields, skulls littered the castle and the field, massive flame on the Kokiri forest, Death Mountain erupting on a daily basis, and Re-deads all over the castle, Iron Knuckles patrolling the castle wall, Poes with their lanterns all over the field, and wreckage and desolation everywhere. Majora fed the few survivors to the Dodongos or turned them into Re-deads as eternal tortured souls with the need to feed on flesh. He wasn’t really into this stuff that much, he like to enjoy a good landscape or a nice looking castle. But he didn’t want to clean up the mess, so he made it worse every day as an example to all the other kingdoms of his power. Majora only had to worry about the sages and Link. But Link was hiding and the sages were scattered throughout the planet! Nothing could stop him now, nothing! Majora looked around, and then called out, “Onox!!! Come forth!” In a flash of red light, the General of Darkness appeared before Majora and kneeled down. “What is it you wish oh great Majora?” Majora asked Onox, “Where do you suppose Link is?” Onox took deep thought an answered, “With the Forest Sage trying to forget about Hyrule, but still hoping for a solution to his title as ‘Hero’. And he’s probably scared stiff at the thought of you, that’s why he doesn’t come to fight you. But he could be anywhere my lord.” Majora snapped his fingers and Onox faded away out of the castle. He continued looking out his window over the kingdom. Next target, the sages.

Link looked out the window; it had a great view of the town. Deep down Link knew that he would have face Majora sooner or later. But his chances of winning were as slim as a split Deku Stick. That would be later though, now he had a normal life and a friend to share it with. Link put his tunic on and went outside for a walk. The sun was shining, and the town was full with activity and business. Link later returned home to wake Saria up, it was already noontime. Link walked upstairs a found that the bed was empty. He then looked in the kitchen and found Saria cooking. “Hey Saria! Finally up huh?” “Morning Link, enjoy your walk?” Link and Saria talked over lunch and both agreed to quit their jobs. They had enough money, and Link didn’t want to start working like that at such a young age. “How much money is in your account Link?” Saria asked. Link laughed and replied, “Why do you want to know?” Saria blushed; it was an out of the blue question. She guessed she was just curious. “I’m just kidding,” Link told Saria, “I have about 700 rupee in my account.”

Link and Saria finished lunch and after words they both went outside for a walk outside of town through the woods. During their walk, they noticed that it was quiet out. No birds, fish, or other animals could be seen. Link looked around and drew out his sword, something wasn’t right. Suddenly, a Wolfos the size of a Moblin jumped out of the bushes at Link! swung his sword and gave the beast a bloody gash across the forehead, and down its neck! The Wolfos then charged at Saria with full speed! Link quickly pulled out his shield and lunged it at the Wolfos, jabbing its side. The Wolfos cried out in pain and swung at Link who was now shieldless! Link was knocked down by the two-ton monster and dropped his sword. The Wolfos pounded Link’s head into the ground and sunk its teeth into Link’s side. Link felt a sharp pain, the all went black…

Link woke up a while later and looked at his side, bleeding pretty badly, he had a chunk missing from his side and he had a bump on the back of his head. All the sudden he remembered; Saria! Link rushed over to her and looked at the damage. Saria’s chest was covered in blood, and her face had a huge scratch on it. Her cloths were torn up bad and she had a bite mark on her arm. Blood was dripping down her face from a gash in her forehead. And in her hand was Link’s sword, all covered in blood. Link picked her up and ran as fast as he could to town, maybe the Wolfos wasn’t dead. Link called out for a doctor and when one came, they rushed her to the emergency room. It was bad for Saria, for Link also. Link and Saria both were in the hospital for two weeks. And those weeks in the hospital made Link realize how close he was to losing Saria. Link decided as soon as he got better, that he would gather all the sages and have them live here. If all of them were together, than they could protect each other and Saria would be safer, along with Termina. After the two weeks in the hospital, Link called Kaeporagaebora and told him to bring all the sages to Termina. Kaepora told Link it would take a few weeks to find all the sages, but he would do so. Even after Saria was out of the hospital, she was still very weak and said she was feeling sick. “Poor Saria’’ Link thought. He felt awful that he wasn’t able to protect her from the Wolfos. He wanted that monster to be dead; so Link put up a bounty for the head of a giant Wolfos. The bounty was pretty high for an animal; the bounty was 500 rupees! In less than a week, a man called Sakon came by Link’s house and proudly presented him the Wolfos’s head. He took the 500 rupees and ran off. Moments later, a few guards knocked on Link’s door and asked him if he knew were “Sakon the burglar” had gone. He had just stolen a hunter’s new Wolfos trophy. Link told the solders which way Sakon went and the solders ran off as fast as they could. Link went back inside and sat at the table. Hyrule was gone, Saria was ill… what next. Suddenly the ground shock along with a big booming noise. Link slammed his head on the table, figures. He ran outside and couldn’t believe his eyes! A huge smoldering crater was left where Romani Ranch was! Link raced out to see if anyone was hurt, but he found more than that. Cremia was lying on the ground, burnt all over and screaming in pain. Link pointed at town and told Navi, “Go get help!” Link ran around the ranch through the intense heat. Looking around for Romani, though there was little chance that she could’ve survived. All Link could find was cow bones and building rubble, but no girl. Link, starting to get dizzy from the heat, turned around and left the inferno. Solders came by shortly and took Cremia to the hospital. But no Romani, Link slowly walked away from the flames, back to Saria. Link looked back at the wreckage, wondering what had happened; looking up, Link saw a hole healing up in the sky. What on earth was it?

“Merely a sudden rip in the ozone layer causing the intense rays of the sun to be released down below on the ranch.” the observatory scientist told Link. Pretty sharp for a ninety-year-old man. Link started to walk out the door when the old man continued. “It was the funniest thing though young boy. Because as I watched the hole form, a dark man with red hair was floating next to it with a beam coming out of his finger. But don’t tell anybody that, they’ll think I’m losing my mind or something!” “Don’t worry” Link told the man as he left.

Saria sat down at the table and waited for Link to come back. She felt sick, worse than before. She couldn’t sleep well at night, and when she did, she had horrible nightmares. Saria felt safe when Link was around, he protected her; excluding the Wolfos attack, that was intended to be a peaceful walk through the woods. One way he kept her safe was by taking her out of the Kokiri forest and bringing her with him to Termina. Suddenly the door burst open, and in came dark stranger from the rain and wind with a sword and shield! The stranger came in and grabbed Saria by the neck and lifted her off the ground. Saria wearily kicked him as he was holding her, but she was too weak to do him any harm. Then out of the strangers chest came a familiar looking sword. She looked behind the attacker and saw Link wrenching his sword through the man’s back! The dark stranger didn’t even flinch; he dropped Saria and jumped back from Link out the window. Causing glass bits to fly everywhere! Link jumped after him and landed with his sword drawn. The two stared at each other as an evil mist surrounded them. The rain stopped and the wind died down to a small breeze. Also a door appeared out of nowhere!

The evil man told Link, “That is my portal to enter this city at any time I wish. Along with all the other evil of the great Majora! And as long as I stand, that portal will never close! I would have been your girlfriend’s assassin; but now I’ll take you out with her!” Link studied the creature and asked him, ”You got a name ugly?” The man gave Link a deep stare and replied, “My name… is Darklink.” “I had no idea my double was so ugly. Am I really that fat, or have you been porking-out? Man oh man, this mirror is broken!” Darklink snarled and lunged at Link, Link dodged and sliced Darklink’s arm right off. Darklink just smiled and kept attacking with his other arm. Darklink spun his sword and sent Link’s shield flying! But Link cut his other arm off then stabbed Darklink in the chest. Darklink faded away and popped back up from the ground healed from his injuries! Darklink then slashed Link across the chest and kicked him down in the mud. Link pulled out an arrow and shot it down Darklink’s hood. “YAAARRRGGGHHH!” Darklink screamed while trying to pull out the arrow. While Link was free, he ran back into the house and came out with a lit bomb! “Hope you like it hot ugly!” Link shoved the bomb down Darklink’s hood and headed for cover. FFFOOOOMMM!!! A gigantic burst of smoke and flame erupted from the inside of Darklink! When the smoke cleared, all that was left was black cloth and the portal faded away along with the mist. “I’m pretty sure he wanted to go out with a bang.” Link whispered to Saria. Saria too weak to laugh so just chortled and went inside to clean up the mess Darklink had made. Link put away his weapons and helped Saria with the mess. Glass all over the floor along with broken pottery. Link got off his knees and sat down; evil was messy in more ways than one. He looked at Saria and told her, “Saria, I’ve realized how close I have been to losing you these past few weeks. So I called Kaepora and told him to bring all the sages here so you could all protect each other. They will be here soon and it’ll all be better. Speaking of which, are you feeling any better?” Saria shook her head no. “Then why don’t you go upstairs and rest, I’ll clean up the mess.” Saria went upstairs and Link picked up all the glass bits from the floor. When he finished cleaning someone started pounding on the door. Link answered the door and slammed it shut instantly! It was Darklink! A taunting voice came through the wood door and said, “You think you could get rid of me that easily?” Darklink sword spiked through the door and missed Link’s head by less than an inch! Link grabbed his weapons and drew his sword at the door. All was silent; then Link felt a slight jab in his back. Darklink lightly jabbed his sword in Link’s back and whispered into his ear, “I used the window.” Link flipped away from the foe and attacked with a swing. Darklink dodged and gave Link a slice across the arm. Link swung again but Darklink used his shield and kicked Link down onto the ground. “You’ve gotten better, Ugly.” Link sneered. Darklink told him, “I was just putting on a show; this is the real fight. Loser doesn’t come back.” Darklink let Link get up and ready, waiting for Link’s first move. Link struck but Darklink dodged. He attacked again and again; but Darklink remained untouched. Darklink then sliced Link across the chest and kicked him in the face, knocking Link back into the wall. Link then pulled out his bow and launched a Light Arrow into Darklink’s chest. Darklink, burning from the inside in pain, pulled out the arrow from his chest and broke it across his knee. Link pulled out another Light Arrow and fired it at Darklink. Darklink used his shield and stopped it from hitting him; then jumped out the window. Link followed after him and drew out another Light Arrow. Suddenly Darklink came from the air with his sword below him. Link stepped back, but not quick enough. Darklink’s sword cut through Link’s boot and right between his toes! Link gulped, that was a close one. He then kicked Darklink in the chest and pinned him down to the ground with his sword through the chest! Darklink looked at the sword running through his chest and chuckled, he then tried to move; but couldn’t! Link liked the look of fear and shock on Darklink’s face. “Impossible!!! No mortal blade can hold Darklink!” Darklink stuttered. Link looked triumphantly at Darklink at told him, “Because this no ordinary blade, this is the Master Sword!” Darklink grabbed the Master Sword and yanked it away from himself. After getting free, Darklink struggled to pull out his sword, then used the last of his energy to strike Link in the leg with it. Link collapsed, weary and in pain from his fight. With Link down, Darklink rested for a few moments and pulled up his sword up above Link’s head. “No you don’t!” Saria cried out at Darklink. Saria’s hands flashed brightly with a green glow, and started to light up intensely. Darklink turned around towards Saria just as a big pillar of green light spewed out of her palms. Darklink was engulfed by the light and tore apart from the inside out. And in a blinding flash, Darklink burst into shreds. Leaving nothing but black metallic blood all over the ground. Saria stood there for a moment with her hand extended, then collapsed onto the stone road. Link got up and slowly limped over to Saria, then blacked out. Link woke up in bed next to Saria who was awake. Link felt sore all over and could barely move his leg or arm. “How do you feel?” Asked Saria. Link groaned and answered, “Not to good, how about you?” “I’m feeling better, and it’s incredible! I never knew I could unleash power like that!” Link nodded and whispered something to Navi; Navi flew up to Saria and told her something Link never told anyone else ever before, “Saria, as Link’s guardian fairy, I’ve been with him on his last adventure to save Hyrule. And in the Water Temple under Lake Hylia… Link fought a creature similar to Darklink there. But it didn’t speak and just mirrored Link’s attacks. And after saving Hyrule, I asked the Great Deku Tree about the monster and found out some facts about it. First, the creature was Link’s dark side of himself and thrives on Link’s anger and pain. But since he had no connection to you, you easily destroyed him with your sage powers. Second, I found out that the monster could just come back if Link destroyed it. Third, Darklink only can return from the dead five times, death from another person counts as two deaths for him, death from Link counts only as one. So that means he will come back one more time, more experienced than ever!” “But we only did him in three times didn’t we Navi?” Saria asked. “Four times, Link killed him in the Water Temple and here. And you killed him twice with your Sage blaster thingy.” “Oh- yeah, I forgot about the Water Temple.” Saria said to Navi. Link went back to sleep and Saria went downstairs and fixed the window. Navi looked around, seeing no one around she flew outside and headed towards the woods. Link woke up the next morning and noticed something different about the room. There was no annoying light flying around the room or any buzzing in his ear. He looked in his hat but still couldn’t find her. Link called out to Saria, “Saria! Have you seen Navi?” Saria came into the room and answered Link, “No I haven’t seen her for a while Link.” Suddenly Navi flew in panting and gasping, “I’m sorry; I was just out in Hyrule checking out the forest. And it’s gotten worse; the Great Deku Tree is gone! And the castle is nothing but rubble along with the Temple of Time! The entire kingdom is in flames and is destroyed hopelessly! And I just found out also that… princess Zelda is dead.” Link felt another knot in his stomach, Zelda… dead? Saria looked at Link and told him softly, “Link… Hyrule needs a hero.” Link shook his head and corrected Saria, “No, there is no Hyrule left to be saved. The world needs to be saved. Saved from Ganondorf, Majora, and Onox. But I’ll need all seven of the Sages and I’ll have to be in better shape. And I’m sure before all that is finished that Darklink will be back for a fight.” Saria rubbed her head; soon they would be off to fight the universes greatest evil. Not easy and not painless. Link added, “With all the Sages, we can send all the lords of darkness into the dark realm and try to rebuild Hyrule. But six Sages will take a while to find.” Suddenly Kaeporagaebora appeared in the window with a smile on his face. “But when you’re dealing with Kaepora; things go by faster.” Link added. Kaepora told Link the news, “All the Sages will be here soon. And I have some news on Hyrule. The entire place is in peril, and all the buildings are gone, and the leaders of darkness are constructing a new castle in the center of Hyrule field! I’ll keep a closer watch on Hyrule Link, so long!” Kaepora then disappeared in a burst of feathers. Suddenly in a flash of light, there stood all the Sages! There stood Darunia the Goron: Sage of Fire, Ruto the Zora: Sage of Water, Nabooru the Gerudo leader: Sage of the Spirit, Impa the bodyguard of Zelda [looking very sad]: Sage of the Shadow, Rauru the oldest: Sage of Light, and sitting next to Link was Saria: Sage of the Forest.

Link still lying in bed asked Impa, “Is it true? Is Zelda dead?” Impa answered softly, “We were attacked by a man with a huge mace and golden armor. Zelda and I ran away as fast as we could from him. But amazingly he jumped in the air and landed in front of us with his mace ready. He brought the mace down on Zelda and smashed her underneath it. I saw no body on the ground or on the mace, along with no blood. But after seeing her get crunched underneath the mace, I held her as dead. I escaped and got away from the monster.” Link felt really bad now. Rauru turned to all the Sages and told them, “Let us all let Link regain his strength, let’s go downstairs.” All the Sages left the room except Saria. Saria looked down at Link and whispered in his ear, “Get some rest Hero.” She then went downstairs and joined the other Sages. Link went to sleep and had a dream like never before.

Link looked around, it was Kokiri Forest! It was untouched by Ganondorf! And there in front of his house was Zelda! Zelda approached Link and told him, “Link I’m not dead. I just sent my body to a safe haven with my powers. I’ve sent myself to the past, but sending myself to the past caused me a problem. I can’t come back unless someone were to play the Ocarina of Time in front of Impa, good thing the Sages are all with you at the moment. And before I wake you up, here is someone special to see you.” A tall lady with deep blue eyes walked up to Link, “Hello Link, I can’t believe it’s you.” Link looked puzzled a the lady and asked, “Who are you?” The woman looked down into Link’s eyes and told him, “I’m your mother Link.” Link fell back from the panic, ”B-b-but everyone says that you died!” “Yes I did, but I got to come back for one day today, or should I say one dream. But I’m proud of you; you’re the Hero of Time! I knew you were something special, but death can ruin a family.” Link was choking on his tears; here stood his mother, who died before he was one year of age! “I love you Link, and I wish I was there to watch you grow up as a child. To see your first step, hear your first word, and to meet your girlfriend.” Link’s eyes were sore from tears, “M-mom! Every day I think of you, and now that you’re here, I want it to last.” Link gripped his mom’s dress and sobbed into it; she then picked him up and whispered into his ear, “Link, you are the sweetest young boy, you even care for your long past mother. And one reason I came to you tonight was to tell you that you will face pain and loss. But I’ll always be watching over you, giving you my breath of luck.” Link was crying uncontrollably now, his long dead mother still cared for him, and he felt a gust of love just pour over him wit a soft feeling of comfort. “I-I want you back. Can’t y-you come back mother? We could b-be together, t-there h-has to be a way for you to c-come back.” Link’s mom set Link on he ground and gave him a powerful hug, “Honey, it’s all happened. You’ll be fine without your mother with you all your life. Besides, you have someone else to take care of, Saria. I just know you two are going to put an end to this evil in the world. You both make me proud, I love you Link.” With that, Link and his mom gave each other a kiss with Link saying, “I love you to mom. I’ll love you forever.” She looked down at Link and told him with a voice that ran over the softest of silk, “Forever I’ll love you; for my child, you be.”

Suddenly Link was awoken by Saria. “Link; are you all right?” Link felt his face; it was all wet from his tears, same with his pillow. He had a lump in his throat from so much sobbing, but he couldn’t help it. He gave Saria the Ocarina of Time and softly said, “Here Saria, play your song to Impa.” Saria did so and FLASH! There stood Zelda in the middle of the room! She told everyone the story of what happened to her, and also what happened to Link. Link was then told by Saria that Darklink came by last night, “You should have seen his face when he entered the room and all of us were standing there. He only lasted a second!” Then Zelda put her hand on Link’s shoulder and told him, “This is a one time thing.” A bright light shot out of Zelda’s hand and covered Link in its warm glow. In a burst of flashes and streams of colors, Link stood up from the bed, all healed up! Link grabbed all his weapons and some supplies, and ran out the door with all the Sages behind him, he was going to make his mother proud.

Majora looked down from the highest window in his new castle upon the new “Field of Hyruined”. Majora looked at the mouth of the woods and saw some figures running down below. Majora chuckled to himself, “So Link; you’ve finally come for us. Well it’s to late; because you see the world is mine to control! Along with the evil in it!”

Link looked at the new castle of Majora; it was huge!!! Miles and miles around the walls, and in the center of the huge evil empire was a tower that shot so high in the air that you couldn’t see the end of it! The tower was probably a mile in perimeter at the base. And inside the walls were buildings and small castles scattered about. All this could be deducted from the cliff at the edge of the woods. But there was no way to be sure about what was in any of those buildings or the immense tower.

Majora looked down on the group and laughed out loud down upon them from miles up in his tower, “FOOLS! No one can even compare to the power of Majora! Come get a taste of pain from the ruler, the king, the lord of the earth; MAJORA!”
