Majora's Mask Items: by Ironknuckle

Ocarina of Time

The Ocarina of Time makes a comeback in Majora's Mask.  The purpose of this
Ocarina is just like the previous game.  As Link learns to play songs then he can use
the Ocarina to teleport himself to different locations or cause certain events to happen.
One of the most important songs that Link will learn is the Song of Time, which is used to save the game and start Link back on the first day.  When this song is played you retain any non-consumable items that you have collected.

Arrows

All of the arrows return in Majora's Mask.  Link will have access to the Fire, Ice, and Light arrows.  Always remember that to use the magic arrows over the regular
arrows uses up magic for every arrow you fire.

Bombs, Bombchus, Keg

What Zelda game is complete without bombs.  In Ocarina of Time we saw the addition of the Bombchu to Link's arsenal.  The Bombchu was a bomb that would zip across the floor and then up walls (never in a straight line though).  It was hard to control but with time, you would know when to release it and in what direction to get the results you needed.  In Majora's Mask we see another new bomb for Link to use.  Similar to the super bomb that Link can purchase in A Link to the Past, the Keg bomb packs a punch.  This bomb can only be used when Goron Link and can blow large holes where regular bombs are not powerful enough.

Deku Sticks and Nuts

Both of these items make a return to Majora's Mask.  The Deku stick may be used to
attack enemies or light torches if you light it.  The deku nuts create a large flash that will temporarily stun your enemies.

Magic Beans

I see that Magic beans are in Link's inventory again.  I am not sure if they serve the same purpose since you don't travel through time to become adult Link.

Lens of Truth

This item makes it return to Majora's Mask as well.  If you remember, this item allowed Link to see things that were usually hidden such as doorways or creatures.
The item doesn't seem to look or act any different.  It will use up your magic meter
when you have it on.

Hookshot

We see that the famous hookshot has returned.  First seen in Link's Awakening, this item can be used many ways.  It can be used to flip switches, grab hold of certain walls to pull Link across pits, a makeshift boomerang, and a weapon to attack small
enemies.  What more could you ask for.  I am not sure if there are two hookshots like in Ocarina of Time.  I would imagine that you would get the hookshot first and then later find a longshot, but I won't swear to that right now.

Bottles

Bottles are a must in Zelda games anymore.  They can be used to store fairies, potions, bugs, and poes.  I'm not sure if the Poe returns in this game or not.  From
the looks of the items screen, you can have six bottles.

Shields

It was asked of me if there was going to be the Deku shield in this game.   I really don't know.  I do know from screenshots that I have seen that there is a regular shield and a mirror shield.  What is interesting to note about the mirror shield is that It looks like it has a face on it.  I wonder if the face matches the mask that Link is wearing or if it always the same face.

Swords

Link has his normal sword.  in addition there is a rather impressive double bladed sword.
