You start off right outside a cave. Go in and pick up your
first weapon, the Wooden Sword. Go East eight screens, killing
everything in sight and getting as much money as possible. Now,
go North one screen, and into the cave. Buy the bombs (if you
happened to have picked up bombs from an enemy, you do not have
to do this). Back in Hyrule Field, go South, then West four
screens. You will see a path. Now then, you will probably
notice how rocks and stuff appear in little tiles. Well, place
a bomb two tiles left of the path. Go in the cave
that you just made an entrance to, to get your first Heart
Container! Come out of the cave and head North 5 screen, then
East one screen. You will see a large rock. Place a bomb on the
bottom row, second from the right tile (this includes the little
half-tile.) Go inside the cave to get another Heart Container!
Back in the field, go East and bomb the second from the right
tile beside the North path, go in to get 30
rupies. Leave the cave, then head North, then East. Go up the
ladder there, and into the cave, where you will receive the
letter! Go back down the ladder, and then go East. You should
be at a tree with an opening in it (which, by the way, happens
to be a Hyrulian-inspired casino!) Walk East of the large tree,
and then head straight up.
You should go through the wall! Walk up to the
rupee
piece to earn 100 rupees, whoo-hoo! Now head back to the
area with the trees, and then go: West, West, South, South.
Touch the Ironknuckle and he will move away revealing a
staircase, which will take you to 30 more rupees! Back in
the field, go: North, West, West, South, South, South,
South, South, West,
West, West, West. Whew! You should be back at the origin of
the game. Go North, and place a bomb 2 tiles left of the
protrusion on the Northern wall. Go inside the cave to get
even more Rupees! Leave the cave, and go one screen West.
Go inside yet another cave, and buy the Blue Candle (60
rupees.) Do NOT buy the Magic Shield yet, it is cheaper
elsewhere. Go back outside, and go West, North, and then
East. You will see six bushes. Burn the lower, left one
with your new candle, and go inside to get 10 rupees. Now
go North, and burn the
corner bush to reveal a staircase. Go down them, and into
the shop. Here you will find a cheaper Magic Shield (90
rupees.) Now then, head East one screen, and burn the fifth
bush from the right, and go in the cave to find the third
Heart Container! Back outside, head East once, and burn the
top bush on the right-hand side to get 30 more Rupees! Now,
head North twice, and burn the lower right of the green
bushes for another 30 rupies. Now then, try to have at
least 150 rupies before continuing, if not start killing
enemies to make some money, it will be needed later. Now
then, go: West, North, East, East, East, being sure to not
get hit by the boulders, then go up the ladder, avoid the
enemy, and go into the cave to get the White Sword!
Now then, go back to the origin (which is South, West, West,
West, South, East, South, South, South, South, South, and
West.) Now go North, then West three screens, and into the
cave. Show the old woman the letter you got a while back,
and she will allow you to buy potions from her. (The Blue
re-fills your health once, while the Red does it twice.)
You have no reason to buy any now, so just continue about
your way. Go West twice. You will see a lot of bushes, and
a column of single bushes. Burn the top, single bush, to
get yet another 100 rupee piece! Go North. (You need to have
at least 250 now. If not, then go West and burn the
lower-right bush to get 10 more which should get you to near
250, if not, start killing enemies.) Touch the middle, top
statue to reveal stairs, go inside and buy the Blue Ring.
(This also happens to be one of the best places to buy the
Bait, you will not need it until Level Seven.) Now then,
get back to the origin, and then go: East, North, North,
North, North, West. You will be at the entrance to
Level 1 |
