| The
Legend of Zelda: Love and Tragedy by: Mojo88
This story starts
the Day after Ganondorf had been sealed in the
void of the Dark Realm. Hyrule Rejoiced as the
Land Returned to its original state. The
celebrations were cut short by an unexpected
Tragedy that would change Hyrule Forever.
Chapter 1: The Royal Ball
"Ah There you are Link." said Navi.
Link had been sitting by The entrance to Zora's
River. He had been quiet since the end of
Ganondorf's reign of terror. "Zelda wishes
to see you. She says it's urgent." continued
the annoying Fairy. Link was still quiet.
"What is the matter with you? You've not
been the same since yesterday." said Nave in
her high pitched voice. "Ganondorf was...
The first man I ever Fought." answered Link
with a Blank voice. "Don't worry about
that." said Navi. "You did what you had
to do. You are the most loved person in
Hyrule."she continued. Link got to his feet
and Walked to Epona. "I must go to the
Princess." said Link in the same tone. He
mounted his trusty steed and walked her towards
the Castle. Link was acting weird. His eyes
seemed empty. "Hey, Hey! How ya doin
Link?" shouted a Castle Town resident.
"Good day, Link." said a guard.
"Hi Link!" shouted a familiar voice.
Link looked up only to see Malon. He stopped
Epona and stared at Malon. What's the
Matter?" asked Malon in a concerned voice.
"Nothing. I'm fine." answered Link.
"Oh. Ok! see you Later!" shouted Malon
as she ran into her father's new Milk shop. Link
had become a Hero. He continued onward to the
castle and saw Talon there. "Hello Link!
How's yer day bin?" said Talon in his
accent. "Good." answered Link.
"Just Deliverin Milk to the castle."
said Talon. Link rode past the guards and stopped
Epona in front of the door. "The princess
awaits." said Impa when she noticed Link.
Link walked into the castle and up to Zelda's
quarters. "Hi Link!!" shouted Zelda
when she saw him. Link didn't answer.
"What's wrong?" asked Zelda.
"Ganondorf... We had a... connection. I
don't know how... but I felt like I knew him from
some where." answered Link. Zelda Looked at
Link very oddly. "Link... Don't you feel
regret. What you did for Hyrule was the bravest
thing I've ever seen. You challenged a powerful
Sorcerer. He was the King of Gerudo. You should
be proud." said Zelda. "I know. It's
just that I feel like I knew him long ago."
said Link. "Well, Why did you want to see
me?" asked Link. "I need someone to
come to the Royal Ball with Me. I know you didn't
know about it so I decided top ask." said
Zelda. "Okay. I'd be delighted to
come." said Link as his face bright-
Brightened."Thanks." Zelda said with a
smile. "Come pick me up tonight at 6:00. The
ball is being held in Termina this year."
she continued. "Okay. I'll go home and get
ready." said Link. Link left the castle and
went home. He was excited to know that he had a
date with the Princess. He put on his best Tunic.
It was a golden tunic with silver diamonds on it.
He put the best saddle he had on Epona it was
also golden with Silver diamonds. Link arrived at
the castle a 4:00. "You look
beautiful." complemented Link. "Thank
you. You look handsome yourself." said Zelda
in return.
Link and Zelda rode the same horse (Epona) to
Termina. "What are the Royal Balls
Link?" asked Link. "They're usually
fun. Except Last year when Talon fell asleep. We
had to go to Romani Ranch and borrow a cuckoo
from Gorg." said Zelda with a chuckle as she
remembered. "Talon is a card." said
Link. Zelda sat in front of Link. Link closed his
eyes and smelled her hair. The beautiful
Princess' Aroma engulfed his nostrils and Took
control of his senses. "Link. Thank you for
coming with me. If I couldn't find someone to go
with, Dad would've made me go with one of the
Jesters." said Zelda, snapping Link out of
his trance. "Don't worry about it. It's an
honor to be your escort." said Link. The two
rode into Termina and into Clock Town where the
Ball was going to be held. Link dismounted Epona
and Helped Zelda down. "Ah, Welcome Link!
Who's the lovely lady?" asked Kafei as they
arrived. "Kafei!" shouted Anju.
"Kafei, Anju, This is the Princess of
Hyrule, Zelda. "Delighted to make your
acquaintance, Your Majesty." said Kafei as
he bowed. "I guess wr'll see you
inside." said Anju as they walked in.
"Nice people." said Zelda when they
left. "Yeah, alot of the people here are as
nice as the ones in Hyrule." said Link as
they walked in. "Would you like to
dance?" asked Link. "Yes. I'd be
delighted."answered Zelda. The two danced
and danced. Link felt like he was in a dream.
Link's feelings had changed as the day went on.
Zelda was the reason that Link was so happy.
Chapter 2: Celebrations Across Hyrule
The Royal Ball ended and Link brought Zelda Home.
"Thank you for a wonderful night." said
Zelda. "I loved it. The ball was the best
thing that happened to me in a long time. Since I
met you of course." said Link. Zelda began
to blush. "Goodnight. Come over
sometime." said Zelda. Link left the castle
and rode Home in the darkness of night. The
Kokiri Tribe was already fast asleep. Although
everyone knew Link was really a Hylian, They
accepted him as a Kokiri, even Mido. Link tied
Epona to the Ladder at the bottom of his hut. He
climbed the ladder, Got dressed in his usual
green tunic, and went to sleep.
The Next morning, Link woke to the sound of an
Ocarina. He slowly walked to the door and opened
the curtain. "Morning Link!" shouted
Saria. "Do you HAVE to play that
there?" he asked in a tired voice.
"Yes. I was told to wake you." she
said. "Yeah? By who? Ganondorf?" asked
Link sarcastically. "No... Zelda."
answered Saria. Hearing this, Link jumped off of
the porch and ran over to Epona. "She's at
Lake Hylia!!" shouted Saria as Link and
Epona bolted out of Kokiri Forest. The sun shot
right at Links eyes when he entered Hyrule Field.
He used his arm to block out the painful rays.
Zelda sat on the shore of the Lake and moved her
Fingers slowly across the water as Link arrived.
"What is it?" asked Link in a worried
voice. "I just wanted to be with you. Do you
know what's going on in Hyrule?" she asked
when Link dismounted. "Everyone is
celebrating. A Party is being held at Lon Lon
Ranch Tonight. Would you Like to go with
me?" she asked. "I must be dreaming.
Two nights in a row that I get to spend with
you." said Link. "So, is that a
yes?" asked Zelda as she blushed. Link
nodded and sat down by Zelda. "Thank
you." she said. Link put his arm around
Zelda and Zelda rested her head on Link's
shoulder. They watched the sun raise together.
The people (and creatures) of Hyrule all went to
Lon Lon Ranch that night. The Gorons came. Even
Biggoron and Medigoron made their way to the
ranch! The Zoras came along with King Zora. The
Gerudos even came! A party was in order now that
Ganondorf was gone. Everyone danced to the
beautiful music of the Kokiri children's
ocarinas. Zelda and Link held hands by the small
stable in the fence. They looked on as the people
of Hyrule Danced, Sang, and laughed. This
gathering was thereafter known as the 'Post-
Ganondorf Death Party'. This became an annual
holiday celebrated across Hyrule.
Chapter 3: Links Big Question
After the second form of celebration, Link turned
to Zelda and held both of her hands. "Zelda,
I have been thinking of this question for so
long. We've known each other for about a year. I
really need to ask you this. Princess Zelda of
Hyrule, Will you Marry Me?" asked Link.
"Yes." she answered in tears. They
hugged for about a minuet. Link escorted Zelda
back to the castle to tell the King the good
news. "Daddy. Link asked me to marry
him!" shouted Zelda. "Oh sweetie,
That's fabulous!" shouted the King as he
hugged his daughter. Link stood behind them and
his cheeks slowly turned red. "Link... I'm
honored to have you as a son. The future of
Hyrule is brighter than it was 5 minutes. I give
you my daughters hand in marriage." said the
King. Link smiled. "I'll send some people to
your hut and have them help you move your
belongings. When's the wedding?" asked the
King. "As soon as possible. This is the man
I want to be with the rest of my life. The sooner
our life together begins,The better." said
Zelda. "Very well. The wedding will take
place two days from now." declared the King.
Zelda and Link's new life was going to start
shortly. The Next day, Members of the King's
entertainers came to move Link's belongings.
"Let me Help you with that." said Link
to a worker who was moving an oak chest.
"No, your majesty. Link, you're a prince
now. Everyone here is at your service." said
the worker. "Even though I am going to be
the prince, I want all of you to remain my
friends. Not my servants." declared Link. He
bent down and helped the servant pick up the
wooden chest. "Th-Thank you." stuttered
the servant. A wagon moved all of the stuff
(Which wasn't much) across Hyrule field to the
castle. When the King saw Link helping the
servants unload the items from the back of the
wagon, he rushed out to stop him. "Link,
they're your servants. They can handle
this." said the King. "No thanks. I
don't want servants. I want friends." said
Link as he unloaded a crate of Epona's equipment.
"Very well. What ever you wish." said
The King as he walked back to the castle.
"What's going on?" asked Zelda when she
saw her father's face. "That boy... Will
make a wonderful King." answered the King
with a smile. "I know father. That's why I
wish to marry him. Our love is unbreakable."
said Zelda as the Queen gave her her wedding
gown. It was a pearly white with diamonds down
the sides and front. Link was going to use the
tunic he wore to the Royal Ball as his tuxedo.
Everyone in Hyrule hustled to get ready for the
wedding. They where all happy to know that their
future King was the Hero of Time.
The day finally came. Link and Zelda where going
to become a married couple. The wedding was going
to be held in The Temple of Time. Link and The
King stood at the end of the aisle and waited as
Zelda made her way to them. Instead of the
traditional wedding song, Zelda walked out to her
Lullaby. She smiled to Link as Her dad took her
hand. "I give you to a man who I think will
change Hyrule. I am proud to become his
father." said the King as he gave Link
Zelda's Hand. "Do you, Zelda, promise to
love, cherish, and care for Link as Long as you
both shall live?" asked Rauru. "I
do." answered Zelda.
"Do you, Link, promise to love, cherish, and
care for Zelda in sickness and In health?"
asked Rauru. "I do." answered Link. By
the power invested in me, I now pronounce you
man, and wife. Link, you may kiss the
bride." finished Rauru. Link turned to Zelda
and raised her veil. The couple kissed there on
the pedestal of time. Link carried Zelda out of
the Temple and put her in a stage coach pulled by
Epona and Zelda's horse. Their honeymoon was
going to be held on a Cruise Leaving out of
Termina and Ending back on the Shore of Hyrule
four days later. Link's dream had finally came
true. Zelda was finally his Bride.
Chapter 4: Tragedy
The newlyweds boarded the S.S Terminian at 6:00
that night. They where first class passengers.
"I love you." said Link to Zelda when
the had all of their belongings packed. "I
love you too, Link." said Zelda with a
smile. "Come on. Let's go to the Cafe and
get something to eat. I'm co hungry I could eat
Epona!" said Link with a chuckle. Zelda and
Link walked down the hallways of the of the ship
with their arms around each other. When they got
to the Cafe, Link ordered the Deku Nut Pizza and
Zelda ordered the Zora Fish Fillet. The two ate
seconds, then thirds and finally where too full
to move. They stumbled their way back to their
cabin and decided to go to sleep.
"D-Don't I know you?" asked a man to
Link the Next day. "Maybe. What's your
name?" asked Link. "Viscen. I was the
guard at Termina who didn't want the carnival to
go on." said The man. "Oh yeah!" I
remember you." said Link. "Who's the
lady?" asked Viscen. "This is Princess
Zelda, my wife." answered Link.
"Congratulations." said Viscen as he
walked to another guard. Link and Zelda walked to
the bow of the ship and Look on as the sun rose.
Suddenly, an explosion Rocked the ship and almost
made Zelda fall overboard. Luckily, Link caught
her. "What was that? Asked Zelda with a
horrified look on her face. "I don't
know." said Link. Just then, the captain
came out of the cabin and announced: "We
have sailed in shallow waters. Our boat is taking
in water very fast." he said. "Royalty
will be evacuated first. Please report to the
lifeboats on the starboard side." said The
Captain. Link and Zelda walked to the Lifeboats.
Link lifted Zelda and put her in. "Take her
Down!"shouted Link. "I must help the
others I love you." said Link as Zelda was
lowered into the ocean "I Love you!"
she shouted back. Link turned and Began to help
the others into the Lifeboats. Water began to
flow onto the deck and there where no more
Lifeboats left. Link was the last passenger
onboard the ship. When it went down, Link went
down with it. Zelda looked around the water,
seeing if she could see him come up. He didn't.
The marriage that just started, was already at an
end.
*Two Months Later*
"Zelda, you must remarry. If you don't, we
won't have a kingdom." said the King.
"I won't. The only man I've ever loved is
the only one I ever will." she said. "I
can't force you." said the king as he walked
out of Zelda's room. Zelda had been very
depressed since Link died. She wasn't the same,
as if when Link died, part of her died with him.
She didn't smile, she didn't eat, she didn't even
sing. It was as if the only reason she kept on
living was hope that Link wasn't dead. Everyone
in Hyrule knew he was. But, the Princess was in
denial. Zelda was on her death bed soon. She
hadn't eaten since the night before the crash. On
the day she was supposed to die, something
remarkable happened. "Zelda. Wake up."
said the King. Someone is here to see you."
he continued. Ganondorf walked in the door.
"Please... Leave us." he said to the
King. "What do you want?" asked Zelda.
"You. Your father gave me your hand in
marriage." said the evil man. "No. I
love Link. I won't marry you." said Zelda.
"Link's dead. When are you going to realize
that? If you won't marry me, I'm at least going
to get something from you." Ganondorf ripped
Zelda's cloths of. "NO STOP IT!!"
shouted Zelda. Just then, the door bursted open
and the Master Sword went through Ganondorf's
stomached. "Link!" shouted Zelda. Link
stood behind Ganondorf and slowly pulled his
Master Sword out. "I thought you where
dead!" shouted Zelda. "No. I swam to
our cabin and put on the Zora's Tunic. It took me
so long to get here because I didn't have Epona
and I had to walk. I'm glad to see you've been
eating..." said Link as he noticed Zelda's
thin body. Link was alive. The two lovers had a
second Honey moon on Lake Hylia. They built a
cabin on the Island in the middle. Link and Zelda
visited the Cabin every anniversary and They
hoped to live Happily ever after, as King and
Queen of Hyrule.
Chapter 5:Married Link
Link was getting used to the married Life. Zelda
started eating again now that Link was back.
"The day is beautiful. Come on, Let's go to
the Lake and Have a picnic." said Zelda.
"Okay." answered Link. They prepared
the Horses and some food. They walked the horses
to the Lake. "I'm so glad you're okay."
said Zelda. "Me too. I missed you so
much." answered Link. They finally reached
the Lake and sat down by their cabin on the
Island. "I'm glad we're here. I need some
peace. This new responsibility of ruling a land
is stressful." said Link
as he looked across the Lake. a zora dove out of
the water and back in. "Wow. They're so
graceful." said Zelda in amazement. The sun
rose steadily and was directly overhead now.
"Noon. Let's go inside and look at our
wedding sketches." said Zelda. Link got up
and helped Zelda up. Link was a changed man now
that he was married. His look on life had
changed. That look changed even more when he
became King. He had matured alot since the Deku
Tree first told him about Ganondorf and the quest
he must endure to save Hyrule. Link was proud of
the actions he took in his past. The Cabin door
opened and Link and Zelda went in. Zelda went to
the closet and pulled out a crate full of
pictures. "Oh... I remember this one."
said Zelda as she
thought. The picture showed Zelda and her father
side by side. Zelda began to cry. Link went to
Zelda's side and put his arm around her.
"Don't cry. Your parents would be very proud
of you." said Link comfortingly. The King
and Queen where assassinated by a man wearing a
mask. The killer got away before anyone knew what
happened. Zelda stopped crying and hugged Link.
Her face was wet with tears. Link wiped them off
with the sleeve of his Tunic."Thank
you." said Zelda. Link brought Zelda outside
and they prepared the
food. Link ate a Deku Burger with a side dish of
Deku Nuts. Zelda brought Her traditional
favorite, The Zora fish fillet. They ate and
laughed at the crows flying overhead. They kept
running into each other. The night came sooner
than expected. Zelda and Link rode their Horses
home and went to bed. Link's life as a single man
was over and He was happy.
Chapter 6: The New Prince
The next morning, Zelda woke up with cramps. She
thought it was just from sleeping wrong but she
was wrong. "Come on. Let's go see the
chemist. Zelda and Link went to the Lakeside
Laboratory. "My wife is feeling sick. Can
you take a look at her?" asked Link.
"Sure. Bring Her in." said The old man.
He took a blood sample from Zelda and told them
to come back the next day. "I wonder if I'm
okay." said
Zelda. "I'm sure you are." answered
Link. They went home and anticipated the results.
The next day, The returned to the Laboratory.
"Well you two, I have some good news. Zelda,
You are carrying a baby. It's a boy." said
The Chemist. Zelda turned to Link and Hugged him
tight. "We're going to be parents." she
said. "Link looked at the
chemist and smiled. They returned to the castle
and told everyone the good news. The Land of
Hyrule celebrated once more. "How about
Link?" asked Zelda. They where thinking of a
name for the new baby. "No. what about
Darunia?" asked Link. "Darunia...
Darunia... Okay." said Zelda. Than it's
settled. The baby's name is Darunia. Link called
the baby Darunia. This was coincedential because
Darunia, The leader of the Gorons called his boy
Link.
**Nine Months Later**
The day had finally came. Zelda went into labor
and Link had to Bring her to the chemist's
Laboratory be stage coach. "The chemist was
going to deliver the baby for Zelda. "Link,
I'll have to ask you to leave." said the
chemist. Link went out and sat on the fence as he
waited. Hours passed and the chemist finally
opened the door. "You can see her now."
said the chemist with a smile. "Link."
said Zelda with a smile as Link entered. "Do
you want to hold him?" asked Zelda.
"Yeah." said Link. The baby was so full
of life. It smiled when Link held him. Lin
laughed and looked at Zelda. The level of
maturity
raised another level with a son. Link was so
happy. He'd been happy ever since he married
Zelda. Now, Darunia was going to change his life
forever.
Chapter 7: The Rumor
The years went on and Darunia grew up. He was now
10 years old and very curious. Link and Zelda let
Darunia explore Hyrule as long as he had
protection. Link gave Darunia his Kokiri Sword.
Darunia loved to go to Zora's Domain and watch
the Zoras swim. After that, he usually went to
Goron city and visited with Link (Darunia the
Goron's Son) Link would roll around and Let Link
practice his bow an arrow
accuracy. He looked remarkably Like Link. Link
and Zelda let him sleep in the Lost woods
sometimes for a week to improve his wilderness
survival techniques. "Darunia is growing up
healthily." said Zelda. "I know. He's
only being raised by the bravest man in the
history of Hyrule." said Zelda. "And
the most beautiful woman in the history of
Hyrule." remarked Link. Zelda smiled.
"Hey dad!" Do you
want to go fishing?" asked Darunia.
"Okay." said Link. "Catch a whole
bunch! We'll have Zora fish Fillets
tonight!" shoued Zelda as they Left.
"Your mom and her Fillets." joked Link
as they passed Lon Lon Ranch. Darunia laughed.
When they got to the Lake, Darunia saw a huge
fish on a sign. "Come to the fishing pond
for the chance to
catch this Lunker!" it said. Link and
Darunia began the walk to the Fishing shop.
"Two please." said Link. "That'll
be 40 Rupees. Said the bald man. Link paid the
man and Link and Darunia started Fishing.
"Dad, can I tell you something?" asked
Darunia. "Sure. Anything." said Link as
he slowly lured in his Line. "I want to live
in the forest. All of the fancy living isn't for
me." said Darunia. "Well, I'll have to
talk to your mother about it. But, I know how it
feels to live alone in the forest and I kind of
miss it too." said Link. "So it's okay
with you?" asked Darunia. "Yes. Just
your mother might not let you. She's a bit over
protective." said Link. "Thanks
dad." said Darunia. Just then, Darunia's rod
dipped deep down under the surface of the Lake.
"Wow! Dad! I think I have a bite!!"
shouted Darunia. Link jumped over and Helped
Darunia pull in the Lunker. "Darunia, I
think this'll beat the record!" shouted
Link. After a long, hard fight, the huge fish was
on the shore. "How did you catch
THAT?!" shouted The pond owner. "That
fish is 45 pounds!" he continued.
"Link, It beats your old record of 30
pounds. Here you go." said the man as he
handed Darunia the prize. It was the Master's
Bow. "Cool!" shouted Darunia when he
received his prize. "Congratulations!"
said the bald man. "We'll like to keep the
fish." said Link. "Only the Royal
family can keep caught fish." said The Man.
"I am the King." said Link. "Oh...
I'm sorry. YOU Married Zelda?" asked the man
in disbelief. "Yes. And this is your
prince." Continued Link. Link and Darunia
left the pond with the 45 pound fish. "Whoa!
That is a big fish." said Zelda when she saw
them. "Yep. Darunia caught it." said
Link. "I won the Master's Bow too."
said Darunia looking at his bow. That night, Link
sat down beside Zelda. "Honey, Darunia wants
to do something that I know you'll disagree
with." said Link. "What's That?"
asked Zelda. "He wants to live in the Lost
Woods. I know that this sounds crazy for a 10
year old to do but I know he could do it."
said Link. "No. I do not want my son in
those woods alone." said Zelda. I will live
with him for the first week. I'll help him build
a hut and find good sources of food." said
Link. "Well...he really knows the woods... I
guess so. As long as he's here for one night
after every month." said Zelda. Link went to
Darunia and told him the good news.
"Link,!" whispered Impa. "What is
it?" asked Link. "I have heard a rumor
that I think you should hear."she said.
"What?" asked Link. "Someone told
me that Ganondorf is back. One of his followers
brought him to the Old Hag's Potion shop and She
revived him." said Impa. "Thank you.
You have been a great help." said Link as he
went up to his room to go to bed. The rumor Impa
told him was very hard for Link to swallow.
Ganondorf had tried to Rape Zelda just a few days
earlier and Link wasn't too happy with Him.
Chapter 8: The Evil Returns
The next morning, Link got up and helped Darunia
look for a place to build a descent House to live
in. After a week, Darunia was completely moved
in. "I'll see you in a month." said
Darunia to Link and Zelda as he went to his
house. Link and Zelda waved at him and then went
back inside. Darunia walked slowly through the
woods and when he reached his house, he saw
something odd. Three skull kids standing around
his hut. "Hey! What are you doing?"
asked Darunia. "L-Link?" asked one of
the Skull Kids. "No. I am not Link. I am his
son. How do you know my father?" asked
Darunia. "I met him in Termina. When you see
him, Tell him I said Hi." said the Skull
Kid. "Why don't you and your friends stay
for a while?" asked Darunia.
"Okay." Darunia and the three Skull
Kids became good friends. The Skull Kids helped
Darunia survive. The month Ended and Darunia had
to spend the night at the castle. Link walked out
onto the field to meet him. "Impa told me
that Ganondorf is back." said Link when they
got within talking distance. "I'm going to
see the old Hag tomorrow morning. Please stay
incase something happens." said Link.
Darunia Nodded. The next day, Link left to go to
the Hag's potion shop. "Old woman, Did you
revive Ganondorf?" asked Link when he saw
her. "Maybe." was all she said.
"Where did he go?" asked Link. He said
that Zelda would be his and Left." she said
as she mixed a potion. Link ran back to the
castle only to Find Zelda gone. Nailed to their
door was this note:
Zelda is in my possession. If you don't surrender
your throne, She will die.
"He's got your mother. I need your
help." said Link to Darunia when he went
inside. Darunia grabbed his Kokiri sword and
Master's Bow. "That won't work." said
Link. He took the Kokiri Sword from Darunia and
gave him the guilded Sword. Link kept the Master
Sword. They went to the temple of Time. There
where mirrors circling Ganondorf and Zelda.
Ganondorf stood by the Pedestal and Zelda sat in
a Huge Rupee beside Him. "Are prepared to
give up the throne?" asked Ganondorf.
"No. I'll take you on." said Link.
"You may have beaten me once but you won't
beat me again." said Ganondorf confidently.
Link prepared for battle. Ganondorf Shot a magic
ball at Link. It was too high and it was obsorbed
by a mirror. Ganondorf shot another ball and Link
knocked it back. Ganondorf moved out of the way
and the Ball was obsorbed by another mirror. two
of the five circling mirrors had matter in them.
Ganondorf shot yet another ball and it bounced
off of the floor and was also absorbed by a
mirror. Now three of the five where full.
Ganondorf powered up a huge energy ball and threw
it at Link. Link dove out of the way and the
matter broke apart and absorbed the last two
mirrors. Ganondorf shot a quick ball at Link
while he was down. A direct hit... "Ha Ha
Ha! Don't you see? You're no match for me!"
said Ganondorf with a laugh. "Yeah... That's
what you think." said Darunia. He pulled out
his Master's Bow and shot an arrow at one of the
Mirrors. It shattered and a ray of light shot at
Ganondorf. Link got up and shot one too. Another
ray hit Ganondorf. They shot out all five of the
mirrors and a beam shot out of each one, holding
Ganondorf in place. Link and Darunia both shot a
Light arrow at Ganondorf. When all of the Light
cleared, Ganondorf was gone. "I am very
proud of you." said Link as they stood in
the Temple of Time. "Me too. I am proud of
both of you." said Zelda. "What are you
talking about? My dad is the Hero of Time!"
shouted Darunia with a laugh. Suddenly, a hand
shot out of the Pedestal of Tim. it grabbed Link
by the back of his Tunic and pulled him in! When
the fist was gone, so was Link. Darunia stood and
walked out of the Temple. "Wh-Where are you
going?" asked Zelda in a shakey voice.
"To find my Dad.'' answered Darunia. Thus,
Darunia's Adventures where born...
Chapter 9: The Dark World
Darunia was set on finding his father. He knew
that he could do it. He still had the Guilded
sword and Master's Bow. Plus, He went back to the
castle and got his dad's childhood Items.
"Where can I start?" Darunia asked
Himself. He mounted Epona and slowly walked her
across Hyrule Field. Suddenly, Darunia's hip
began to Rumble. He moved Epona farther ahead and
walked back to the spot where he felt the rumble.
He set a bomb and Ran. 'BOOM' the Bomb blew up
and Knocked Darunia off of his Feet. He jumped
down into the secret grotto and found a gossip
stone. Darunia put on the Mask of Truth and
spoke. "Tell me what you know." said
Darunia.
"The Evil one has captured the Hero.
To the Dark world you must Go."
said The stone. "How do I get to the Dark
world?" asked Darunia.
"In the Wasteland is the Way.
Find a mirror at the opposite of Day."
said the stone in it's mysterious voice. Darunia
took off the Mask and stood on the light pad to
get warped out. He ran over to Epona and rode her
to Gerudo's Fortress. "Halt!!" shouted
one of the Gerudos. "Leave this place at
once!" she said. Darunia didn't stop.
"A gerudo snuck up from behind him and
knocked him off of Epona. He was caught and
thrown in the small square room that His father
once was in. "Let me speak to your
Leader!!" shouted Darunia. Soon, A beautiful
Gerudo was looking down on Darunia. "What is
it?" she asked gruffly. "My father is
in trouble! I need to save him!" shouted
Darunia. "Sounds Like a personal problem to
me." said the woman sarcastically.
"Perhaps you know him? He has been well
known across Hyrule for about 17 years. I am
10."said Link, hoping to break the woman's
stubberness. "You tell me your father's name
and I'll tell you if I know him." she said.
"Link. The Hero of Time." answered
Darunia. "Get this boy out of there
now!" shouted the woman as her face
brightened. "I am Nabooru, Leader of the
Gerudo." said the woman when Darunia was
Out. "I am Darunia, Prince of Hyrule.
answered Darunia. "Link married Zelda? Never
saw that coming!" said Nabooru. "You
said your father was in trouble?" she
continued. "Ganondorf, has brought Link, My
father to the Dark World. I must save him."
said Darunia. ''If he's in the Dark World, He
ain't coming back." said Nabooru. "Than
I'll go be with him. I must try." said Link.
Nabooru and Three other gerudo escorted Link to
the Mirror that night. "If you go in there,
you won't come back." warned Nabooru.
"Than Tell my mother that I love her."
said Darunia. Without another word, Darunia dove
into the mirror. He was falling down through
dimensions. Everything was hazy... On the other
side, Darunia ended up at his father's Childhood
home! He was inside his dad's old house! The wood
was rotted and the grass outside was dead. He
then Realized that Nabooru might have been right.
Maybe there wasn't a way to get home... Darunia
decided that if he wasn't going to get home, He
at least wanted to be with his dad. Be with his
dad, or die trying... Darunia ran out of Kokiri
Forest. The best place to look was the Castle.
Darunia Ran across the Brown-grassed Hyrule Field
and onto the Broken Drawbridge. He saw a guard...
Not a Royal Family Member but one of Ganondorf's
minions. "Hey!! Halt!!" shouted the
creature. It ran at Darunia. This Lizard had a
sword and a small shield. "Is my father in
there?" asked Darunia. "You'll never
know!" said the Lizard as he lunged at
Darunia. Darunia blocked with his guilded Sword.
He pushed the Lizard back and preformed a jump
slash. A Hit!! "Oooh... you're good."
said The Lizard as he wiped green blood off of
his arm. Darunia Lunged the Guilded Sword deep
into the Lizard. "Owwww!! Arrrgggghhh.
Humph." after this line of shouts, the
Lizard fell over, dead. Darunia continued on to
the castle gates. He looked up at the huge castle
that he didn't recognize... He walked up to the
door determined to find Link.
Chapter 10: The Final Confrontation
The walls of the inner castle where a thick
black. Not the Hylian colors that where there in
the Light world. Darunia walked at a slow pace
and suddenly He heard a tiny voice. "Hey!!
Listen!!" it said. "I am Navi!! I know
where your father is!! Come, There's still
time!" said a little ball of light.Darunia
followed the Fairy up the spiral staircase and
then to the top room. He saw Ganondorf playing a
huge organ. Above it was all three Triforce
pieces!! That meant that BOTH of his parents
where here. "Well Well Well." said
Ganondorf without looking. "What a nice
little family reunion." he said as two
rupees holding Both Zelda and Link appeared.
"Now that I have all Triforce pieces, I am
unstoppable!!" shouted Ganondorf as his eyes
met Darunia's. Suddenly, The triforce of courage
floated towards Darunia. "Wh-What??"
shouted Ganondorf in disbelief. Then, it shot
back at Ganondorf at a fast pace and struck him
in the heart. This gave Darunia the chance to
attack. He pulled out the Master's Bow and shot
three Light arrows at the same time at Ganondorf.
The Triforce of Courage came to Darunia. It was
now his. He ran up to Ganondorf and Started
slashing and stabbing him with the guilded Sword.
"No Darunia! That won't work! The master
Sword is Behind his organ!! You must use
that!!" shouted Link through the walls of
the Rupee. Darunia ran to the Organ but was cut
off by a shock of magic in his back. Darunia
fell, lifeless. "NOOOOO!!!" shouted
Zelda. "He He He!" laughed Ganondorf as
he walked over to the huge rupees. "What's
so funny?" asked Darunia confediantly.
"How...??" said Ganondorf in disbelief.
Darunia had the Master sword. Out of Anger,
Ganondorf shot ray after ray of magic. Darunia
deflected each and every one back to Ganondorf.
Ganondorf wasn't expecting this and was hit by
all of them! Ganondorf knelt down and gasped for
air. Darunia Ran up to him. "Your reign as
the Evil King is over." said Darunia. With
one quick motion, The Master Sword was all the
way through Ganondorf's body. The Rupees
containing Zelda and Link disappeared. Suddenly,
a Huge black Dragon busted through the floor.
"The Dragon of Doom!" shouted Zelda in
disbelief. "I've given you numerous chances,
pitiful man! Now it's time for you to rot!"
said The Dragon as it swallowed Ganondorf.
"Darunia! You did it!" said Link.
"You saved Hyrule... For good!"
exclaimed Zelda as she hugged her son. As soon as
the tail of the Dragon was back through the hole
it created, Zelda, Link, and Darunia stood at the
Drawbridge... in the Light World. The evil that
Haunted the Land of Hyrule was one gone
Forever... Thanks to the bravery of a 10 year old
boy.
